This week we’ll take a look at Isaiah x30:1-26. In this passage we see Israel willingly choose to trust Egypt for protection in spite of all God has done for them and delivered them from. Because of this, God lays out a series of consequences that will befall Israel for her betrayal, and tells them that their hope for protection from Egypt will bring nothing but shame and humiliation. But God shows His kind, loving heart even in this. He then tells Israel how He waits to show them mercy and guide them back on righteous paths, if only they’d cry out to Him.
