Synopsis: God tested Abraham by directing him to offer Isaac as a burnt offering, and by the obedience of Abraham and his seed all the nations would be blessed. God's sparing of Isaac pointed towards the Lamb of God Jesus Christ, the Messiah God would provide by His grace.
