Genesis 19:1-29 records the historical event of God destroying the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah for their great wickedness. This passage of Scripture also records the deliverance of the man named Lot, and his two daughters, who were saved from the city on account of Abraham. The Bible tells us clearly that there is a day of destruction that is coming for the whole world, and because of that every person who is to be delivered on that day can only do so through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

I preached the following sermon from Genesis 19:1-29. I describe from this passage five temptations Lot faced in city of sin, and also five calls of God to deliver Lot from the devastation.

Below you will find both the video recording of the sermon, the text of Scripture, and a sermon outline to help you along as you watch. I hope this study tool helps you grow in your love for the Lord Jesus and in your obedience to Him.
