Outline:



1. They are Professors of Religion with no Power (Verse 5)
2. They proselytize women for their own pleasure (Verses 6-7)
3. They persistently withstand Pastoral authority (Verse 8)
4. The promise that they can proceed no further than God allows (Verse 9)



The Point: Timothy’s role is to help the Church identify and avoid false ministers who come as wolves in sheep’s clothing.
