The opening sermon in our "Fundamentals" sermon series looks at 1 John 1:1-4. Many scholars agree that John was Jesus' closest friend and experienced a bond with Jesus from which we can learn tremendous things.

Not only does John say he had an experience, but we have to understand that it was a very real experience. Because we can have an experience that is not true, right? People all have perceptions of events... but John is saying here... "Listen! I have seen, heard and touched the real event!
