True happiness is not found in the possessions, wealth and peace. If that were the case, the founders of our country, the very people who declared that all men have the inalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness would not pledged their lives, fortunes and sacred honor to fight.

Do you suppose, for instance, that
I. JEREMIAH HAD ANYTHING LESS THAN THE HAPPINESS AND BLESSING OF ISRAEL IN HIS HEART WHEN HE:
• Preached against their sin
• Urged them to repent and
• Told them that God wanted them to surrender to Babylon

Do you imagine that
II. GOD HAD ANYTHING LESS THAT THE BLESSING OF NINEVEH WHEN HE SENT JONAH TO PREACH REPENTANCE

III. DANIEL LOVED NEBUCHADNEZZAR ENOUGH TO WARN HIM ABOUT HIS SIN

IV. WHEN JESUS REBUKED PETER AND SAID, “GET THEE BEHIND ME SATAN” DO YOU REALLY THINK HE HAD EVIL IN MIND FOR PETER?

V. WHEN JESUS WARNED THOSE WHO TOLD HIM ABOUT THE GALILEANS THAT PILATE HAD KILLED , THAT IF THEY DIDN’T REPENT THEY WOULD PERISH, DO YOU THINK HE REALLY WANTED THEM TO PERISH?
The fact is, he wanted them to repent so they would not perish.

VI. WHEN PAUL CAST THE DEMON OUT OF THE DAMSEL IN PHILIPPI, DO YOU SUPPOSE HE WAS BEING UNKIND?

There is no real happiness in honoring only part of the truth.
