Dr. Jordan Rogers continues preaching through The Book of Genesis in this sermon on Genesis 28:1-9 entitled, "The Path to Blessing."

Blessing follows where faith leads.

Faithfulness to honor God’s Word always results in blessing. There may be temporary discomfort or suffering when you live the way God has commanded in His Word or take a stand on the authority of Scripture above all things. However, such suffering is always temporary, and you can be guaranteed that, in the end, God will bless your obedience and faithfulness to His Holy Word.

The opposite of this is true as well: Failure to honor God’s Word never results in blessing. There is no successful way to disobey or dishonor God’s Word and arrive at blessing. Disobedience may achieve short-lived pleasure, but will ultimately be devastating without repentance and forgiveness. These truths are readily apparent in the lives of Jacob and Esau, and are seen clearly in the text we look at in this sermon.

The following is a sermon from Genesis 28:1-9 and below you will find the video recording and a sermon outline to help you follow along as you watch. I hope this study tool helps you grow in your love for the Lord Jesus and in your obedience to Him.
