As we have seen, the Colossians are being affected by a false teaching promulgated by false teachers – and Paul is combating it by declaring truth – particularly, the truth about Jesus Christ. In these next nine verses, which we will cover today, verses 15-23 of Colossians 1, Paul continues to combat the false teaching by declaring Christ to the Colossians.
And in this combat with false teachers – Paul lays out such awesome theology about our Lord and His redemptive work for us.
