The Sure Promises Of God : Vanquishing Enemies

While the personal battles we fight in this modern era may not be comprised of, cries of war, garments rolled in blood, and the dying agonies of the fallen soldier, they are yet still, those battles we have to fight, though not as bloody, but just as intense. Battles with the thoughts of our minds, battles with the lying lips of others and the contemptuous words that they speak, battles with the stumbling blocks and challenges that are placed in our way that are seeking to prevent us from opportunity and much needed resources. A battle is a battle, and though the circumstances may differ the required energy to fight still remains the same.
God has promised us that he will vanquish the enemies that rise up against us, this is both his power and specialty. God thirsts for involvement in our daily struggles of life, that we may see how real he can become to us in all the details of our existence. But God just doesn’t fight the battles for us, he accompanies us to the battle field and he teaches us how to fight through relying on his strength and by living his principles and power we are able to vanquish the challenges that arise. The way we fight and how we fight are just as important as the fact that we have to fight.
When we fight we fight in his name, which means that through his promises, principles and power we overcome and become victors. To fight in his name means that the power of his name attends our efforts, because we are using the divine channel through which that power flows. We cannot use the devils methods to fight the battles of our life or the battles of our God. Whenever we deviate from Gods principles to win a battle we have to keep deviating to maintain that victory, therefore it is our sacred duty to fight only in Gods name, only by God’s principles. When we are committed to Gods principles he is committed to our deliverance and this is why he crushes and treads down our enemies because he is not fighting the enemy as a person, he is fighting against the principality and the power of that the enemy.
