Sid is keen to help make our picnic lunch - this could get messy! Sarah seems to think that she's wonderful for getting all the food, so Sid has to remind her about who really makes it all for us.

This picnic adventure started by reading about Jesus feeding a huge crowd in an amazing way, in John 6  - this is also in The Beginners Bible from page 357.  One result of this event was that Jesus fed the people in a way which satisfied them.  He had already taught them about God and healed many.  Surely no ordinary man could do this - this was the sort of thing only God could do!  Indeed, some of those who were there concluded that Jesus was a prophet from God. Soon after this, Jesus himself claimed to be more than this when he declared, "I am the bread of life.  Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty... the one who believes has eternal life" (John 6 verses 35 & 47)   We invite you to find out more about Jesus, the one who is able to satisfy the deepest hunger of our hearts.
