ACTS CHAPTER 2 (continued):
Verse 33… This verse speaks to the promise of the Holy Spirit…. GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES!
Joel 2:28-29… I Corinthians 14:26… I Corinthians 15:26…
I Corinthians 16:13
Verses 34-36 ... Peter preaches Jesus is Lord! 
Romans 1:16... Romans 10:9-10… John 3:36
Verses 37-40… The Holy Spirit is faithful to convict their hearts of sin, righteousness and judgment, so….. Peter gives an invitation, after the Word is preached.  
The inspired and precise instructions are:  Repent…..and be baptized.  Here we see the principle of REPENTANCE (turning from sin unto God…..a heart change – see Ezekiel 36:25-27).  And then publicly showing the repentance by BEING BAPTIZED (providing an external identification of remission of sins visible by others).  In other words, Repentance is an act taking place within a man’s heart as the Holy Spirit energizes the sinner…….and baptism follows repentance as an outward signification of that act.  …Romans 10:9-10
The Bible tells us that if any man is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION; old things are PASSED AWAY, and all things are BECOME NEW.  Is that true in our life?   … Romans 12:1-3
Verses 41-42… The converts to Christ involved themselves in four things that promote growth to every Christian!
        #1.  They became devoted to the Apostles teaching……
2 Timothy 2:15… Psalm 119:11… Psalms 1:1-6… John 6:63  (OVER)
#2.   They involved themselves in fellowship.
1 John 1:7… Hebrews 10:23-25… Psalms 133:1-3…
#3.   They broke bread together. Eating a meal with someone allows time to get to know each other… It helps us to become more intimate with each other… Christ did this many times in His ministry…

#4.   They prayed together.
