 Job 1:6-11Job 2:3-5
Verse 11… God talks to John about overcoming by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony.
Luke 14:26-27, 331st John 1:7Revelation 2:17
Revelation 3:20-21
Verse 12… The Lord brings John back to the future and tells him, WOE to the inhabitants of earth.
Revelation 8:13…  (The devil finally comes to the place where he realizes he has but a short time left).
Verse 13… The devil, satan persecutes God’s people Israel.
1st Peter 5:8-9
Verse 14… Israel goes into the wilderness – verse 6 – for a time, times and half a time.  Time is interpreted by most Bible scholars here as a time equaling one year.  So, a time is one year, times = 2 years, and ½ time – ½ year, or a total of 3 ½ years.
Daniel 7:25 …. Daniel 12:7… In explaining the Wilderness we look at the Scriptures:   Zechariah 14:5…. Daniel 11:41 (described as Edom).
·       Note on the WILDERNESS:  While the location of this hiding place is not specified in Scripture, many Bible students believe that this place with be Petra (based on Zechariah and Daniel).  The word “AZAL” mentioned in Zechariah 14:5 is connected with the place called Petra.

·       Petra is the capital of Edom, which is situated at the southeast border of Palestine, and is described in geography books as being “about two thousand feet above sea level, wild, rugged, and almost inaccessible, with deep glens and irregular ridges.  This describes an almost perfect place for hiding.

·       Petra has also been called the “rainbow city”, and once had 267,000 inhabitants.  The city is inaccessible except through the gorge or canyon in the mountains, which is wide enough for only two horses abreast.  The perpendicular walls of the gorge are from 400 to 700 feet high and are brilliant in splendor, displaying every color of the rainbow.

·       Remember God’s promise of the rainbow and no more floods
Revelation 12:15 …. Genesis 9:13-16
