A fundamental principle of Scripture is that God is sovereign, and one expression of His sovereignty is our gender—our biological sex. It’s not our choice to make, but that observable truth has been publicly muddied by a culture that aggressively opposes a biblical worldview and says, “You can choose your gender.” That defies logic and God’s sovereignty, but the Church has been strangely silent while a cascade of messaging disregards God’s sovereignty in having created mankind male and female. The same voices label masculinity as “toxic,” and redefine a “good father” in direct challenge to Scripture’s presentation of God as our Father.  Church, we must determine to know God’s Word, embrace its truth, begin to understand God’s sovereignty, and use our voices to stand for His design. It’s time to honor our Father in Heaven and reclaim His sovereign model for manhood and the authority that comes with that role.
