After the battle with the Ammonites, Jephthah was faced with fierce opposition from the Ephraimites, who threatened to kill him. Jephthah was going to have nothing of that, and so he decided to wage a battle against these insolent people. As part of the process, the word 'Shibboleth' became important. What is 'Shibboleth' and why is it important in Judges 12? In Lesson 38 of our study of Judges we learn the answer to this question.
