Did Origen affirm the ministry of women? Were early church father's purely patriarchal, or vivid defenders of the equality of women? The answer, like all human beings and their biases and beauties, is more complex.

Origen of Alexandria is an important church father and he wrote a lot about the Bible. In this video, I briefly and clearly break down his analysis of Phoebe in Romans ch.16.1-2 (Commentary on the Epistle to the Romans 10.17). What he wrote is interesting to say the least!
