In this chapter, Moses is telling Israel how their worship to God will differ from the worship in the wilderness, and even differ from the false worship of the Canaanites, once Israel inherits Canaan. In this section, Moses is talking about offerings made to God and where they were to be made. Israel was allowed to eat meat within their gates, but they weren't allowed to eat something specific there. What was Israel not allowed to eat within their gates? In Lesson 41 of our study of Deuteronomy we learn the answer to this question.
