In this video we will take a look at a powerful passage found in Romans 2:28-29 to arrive at a deeper understanding regarding how God sees "Jews" who are Jews outwardly (natural blood line Jews) who have been circumcised outwardly in the flesh but have never been circumcised of the heart. God doesn't even consider natural blood line ancestry important with regards to what it means to be a Jew in God's eyes today. God looks at the heart (inwardly) and not to those things that are outward in the flesh. We will examine the Scriptures to see that all born again believers (both blood line Jew and Gentile who have obeyed the gospel under the New Covenant revealing true biblical faith in Jesus Christ) are who God considers true "Jews" today. Jews by faith are contrasted with Jews by blood. Born again believers are God's true Jews today! Natural blood line Jews who are Jews outwardly contrasted from Jews inwardly (anyone of faith in Jesus Christ).
We will also learn that outward circumcision in the flesh is not what God desires. God desires us to have our hearts circumcised so that we can be clean inwardly. Galatians 6:15 reveals how we become a new creature (creation) in Jesus Christ after obeying the gospel by faith and are who God considers the True Israel of God (Jews inwardly) today. We will compare Scripture with Scripture to see how we receive the circumcision of our heart made without hands by the operation of God when we repent and get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; Colossians 2:8-15; Galatians 3:27-29) by faith. Baptism is for the remission of sins because that's where God operates on us and circumcises our heart, removing the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ. Romans 6 confirms all of this by saying that when we get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ by faith, we are baptized into his death (crucified and buried with Jesus) so that we can rise to walk in newness of life, resurrecting from a life dead in trespasses and sins to a new life of victory in Jesus Christ. This is how we take part in the first resurrection of Revelation 20 so that we won't experience the second death (being cast into the lake of fire). Philippians 3:3 also reveals that God only considers people "circumcised" who worship God in Spirit and rejoice in Christ Jesus and have no confidence in the flesh. Therefore, a natural blood line Jew who doesn't rejoice in Jesus Christ is uncircumcised in God's eyes, despite having been circumcises in the flesh. God looks to the heart, not to outward appearance. Only those who have been born again and are found in Christ Jesus does God consider a true Jew and one who has been circumcised with the circumcision made without hands (the inward circumcision of the heart).
