Why It Is Good to Go To Church Regularly
Psalm 92:1-15 & Ephesians 2:1 – 3:21
Halifax: 21 May 2017, 10:30 am

For the last few weeks, we have been doing a sermon series on going to church.
- Two weeks ago the sermon was entitled: What is Going to Church all About?
- Last week, we looked at: What Happens When You Truly Meet with God in Worship.
- Today, I want to look at: Why It Is Good to Go to Church Regularly.
- While last week, we looked at what happens when you worship, this week will be more about the long term benefits of faithful attendance in worship.

I want to look at two passages today—
- Ephesians 2 & 3 and Psalm 92:1-15.

In previous sermons, we have seen that we are the church because we are the people in this fallen sinful world who are gathered as a worshipping assembly before God.
- By Jesus Christ our redeemer, we are brought to the Father.
- We especially draw near to God when we come to public worship each Lord’s Day.

This morning I want to begin by showing you how this privilege of coming before the Father through Christ is presented to us in Ephesians 2 & 3 as something that transforms us into a holy dwelling place of God!
