"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16

It's in your time of need that God says, "I can break through, in spite of the way you may be living. My grace is more powerful than your behavior."

God heals you because He's good, not because we're good. He saves us because He's good, not because we're good.

This verse shows us how we are to respond after we've sinned- after you've thought the wrong thought, said a bad word, mishandled a relationship, or yielded to the wrong thing. Guilt will always want to come in and crush you. The enemy wants to come in and remind you. What does God want? He wants us to walk FREE because of the price He paid at Calvary!

However, God doesn't want us to just assume that He's got those things covered. This verse is very clear, "Let us therefore come.." God wants us to make a conscious effort to come to Him after we've yielded to the wrong thing or done something we shouldn't.

Anything you've said He can fix. Anything you've thought He can wash. Anything you've yielded to He can take care of - but He wants you to come to Him. God wants accountability. He never wants us to move into assumption or presumption. Like any good relationship there has to be accountability between two parties. Amos 3:3 says, "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" God wants to come into agreement with you, and He is saying, "If you come to Me, I am your source for cleansing, forgiveness, and light-heartedness."
