It’s important for us to understand that reading the Word of God or listening to the Word of God is the Lord’s way of getting His Word into our hearts.
There is power in the Word and in seizing the prize – the healing, the money, the household salvation; God doesn’t want it to come from your head. God wants it to come from your heart. The Bible says that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Luke 6:45). It’s not the mouth, but the treasure your mouth pulls from.
How does the Word get into your heart? By continually looking at it and listening to it. What you hear you will see and what you see you will hear.
Don’t ever assume that you know something so well that you never have to go back and put your eyes on it one more time. Don’t ever think you no longer need to hear God’s Word being preached. When you see God’s Word you hear His Word, and when you hear God’s Word you will see His Word.
If you keep seeing His Word and keep hearing His Word it will get inside your heart and your heart will be able to bring forth your prize.
