Good morning! Here is today’s word of blessings for you. 
1 Samuel 19:8-12 
 
8 Once more war broke out, and David went out and fought the Philistines. He struck them with such force that they fled before him. 9 But an evil spirit from the LORD came on Saul as he was sitting in his house with his spear in his hand. While David was playing the lyre, 10 Saul tried to pin him to the wall with his spear, but David eluded him as Saul drove the spear into the wall. That night David made good his escape. 11 Saul sent men to David’s house to watch it and to kill him in the morning. But Michal, David’s wife, warned him, “If you don’t run for your life tonight, tomorrow you’ll be killed.” 12 So Michal let David down through a window, and he fled and escaped. 
 
 Today’s title is “He was Let Down Through the Window” 
 
 Saul is one of the most pitiful biblical figures in the bible. It is so frustrating to see how he could not maintain the blessings of God and the spirit of God and go backsliding again and again. But what’s even scarier to me as a pastor is that I see the similar lifestyle of Saul very frequently in me and in many other people including some Christians. Like Saul, we are so easily forgetful of God’s blessings and anointings and become arrogant. We love to set a monument for our names instead of God’s name. We are so easily caught up with emotions like envy, fear, and insecurity. As a result, we often go against the will of God instead of following His direction. What was the problem with Saul? We can think about many. But the biggest spiritual problem started when the Spirit of God that came upon him when he was anointed departed from him and the evil spirit came upon him. I am sure that this is not only Saul’s problem but many others could go through the same spiritual trouble. That must be why the author of Hebrews left us stern warnings about it. “It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. (Hebrews 6:4-6). Despite his promise not to kill David to Jonathan, Saul tried to kill David once again when they came upon him. David was playing the lyre to help him out of the torment. Saul tried to pin him to the wall with his spear, but David eluded him. Saul even sent men to David’s house to watch it and to kill him in the morning. But Michal, David’s wife let David down through a window. While God rejected Saul who rejected God, He was ever present with David and saved him in danger after danger. So vital is the spirit of God in our life. Do you have the spirit of God? We can all receive the spirit of God now if we trust in the Son of God who is crucified for us. Receive the spirit of God through the Son of God. It will guide us from the darkness to the light. Amen!

Jesus died on the cross to transform all who are willing. The Scriptures are an unfailing guide for living a rational and joy-filled life of selfless goodness toward all. Your Father in heaven desires to give you the kingdom! Many have rejected a caricature of Christianity. And yet, the existence of significant caricatures points to an authentic original. There is a path of hope and an abundant life. Jesus said, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled." You long for something more. You can have it beginning today. You can receive all, but you must give all. Many are not ready to give all. My desire is that this channel will help people taste and see that the Lord is good.

Michal Helps David Escape from Saul 
 
Again there was war, and David went out to fight the Philistines. He launched a heavy attack on them, so that they fled before him. Then an evil spirit from the Lord came upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his spear in his hand, while David was playing music. Saul sought to pin David to the wall with the spear; but he eluded Saul, so that he struck the spear into the wall. David fled and escaped that night. Saul sent messengers to David's house to keep watch over him, planning to kill him in the morning. David's wife Michal told him, “If you do not save your life tonight, tomorrow you will be killed.” So Michal let David down through the window; he fled away and escaped. Michal took an idol and laid it on the bed; she put a net of goats' hair on its head, and covered it with the clothes. When Saul sent messengers to take David, she said, “He is sick.” Then Saul sent the messengers to see David for themselves. He said, “Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may kill him.” When the messengers came in, the idol was in the bed, with the covering of goats' hair on its head. Saul said to Michal, “Why have you deceived me like this, and let my enemy go, so that he has escaped?” Michal answered Saul, “He said to me, ‘Let me go; why should I kill you?’ ”
