Rev. Micah Paik was born in South Korea. In his teens, he studied in Great Britain. He came to the United States to earn a masters degree in Divinity. After receiving the degree, he went on to earn another masters degree in Missiology. After finishing coursework, he fell into serious mental challenges. He was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, but showed symptoms of many other mental challenges. He struggled with the challenges for about 7 years, taking as many as 13 pills a day for the symptoms. But he was healed by the power of Jesus Christ in November, 2007. He was ordained as a minister in 2010, and has been leading different ministries ever since.

Yet the Israelites did not drive out the Geshurites or the Maacathites; but Geshur and Maacath live within Israel to this day. To the tribe of Levi alone Moses gave no inheritance; the offerings by fire to the Lord God of Israel are their inheritance, as he said to them.

“THE BOOK OF JOSHUA ~ a Type & Shadow” A-063 (10-12-22) Joshua 13:6-12

This week’s episode was lesson #63 from Joshua 13:7-12 as we continue in this study. 
● Joshua 13:7 (New English Translation) says, “Now, divide up {apportion, or allot} this land among the nine tribes and the half-tribe of Manasseh.” 
● For Christ, who has always been Eternal, to be placed at “Father’s right hand,” is a metaphor for occupying a position of honor and authority. He manifested as visible in this flesh-realm and walked among mankind, symbolically lowering Himself to the appearance of the Adam-form, even though He was always the Eternal Christ. 
● I think Jesus came or manifested in flesh-form to show mankind that the idea of a “mistaken identity” could be subdued so that we as spirit, are not controlled by the “flesh-form” mindset born in Adam. And while mankind is not from Adam, still the idea of “mistaken identity” had to be dealt with once and for all. Also, I think this simply pertains to His eternally ruling over, but now here in the realm of flesh, He continues to rule as an example for all mankind. 
● Joshua 13:8 (NET) says, “The other half of Manasseh, Reuben, and Gad received their allotted tribal lands on east side of the Jordan, just as Moses, the LORD’s servant, had assigned them.” 
● Commentary says, “There was a strategic reason for Reuben, Gad, and the half tribe of Manasseh to request the land east of the Jordan, and the Lord blessed them in their inheritance. Thus, God’s blessing extended even beyond the Jordan River. (GotQuestions.org). 
● Joshua 13:9-10 (NET) says, “9 Their territory started from Aroer (on the edge of the Arnon Valley), included the city in the middle of the valley, the whole plain of Medeba as far as Dibon, 10 and all the cities of King Sihon of the Amorites who ruled in Heshbon, and ended at the Ammonite border.” 
● From https://www.preceptaustin.org, “While this passage is not as clear as the preceding and following passages, it does appear to be describing the middle region between the land that was given to Reuben on the south and to Manasseh on the north.” 
● Joshua 13:11 (NET) says, “Their territory also included Gilead, Geshurite and Maacathite territory, all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan to Salecah—” 
● We are reminded of a great piece of biblical history which you may have learned in Sunday School, or a Christian School of some type. Still yet we are seeing the allegorical picture of how the thoughts of the mind are divided into sections with its inner regions and its outer regions, with its fortresses of thought such as the conscious mind, and the easier to conquer such as the sub-conscious mind. The point is that all unrenewed thinking within that are wandering around in your mind must be taken captive and submit to the Christ-mind within. 
● Joshua 13:12 (NET) says, “the whole kingdom of Og in Bashan, who ruled in Ashtaroth and Edrei. (He was one of the few remaining Rephaites.) Moses defeated them and took their lands.” 
● Then a Study Note (sn) says, “The Rephaites were apparently an extremely tall ethnic group.” To dispel the myth of “GIANT” people, we have already seen in our study that the words “Anakim” and “Rephaim” simply refer to a people who were larger than most, such as the tribe Goliath came from. 
● Again, the type & shadow we see here is that of conquering every little, and seemingly non-significant piece of land within your soul of unrenewed thinking so that nothing remains unconquered; and even though we saw a lot of history here today, still yet there is a lot of allegorical insite here such as the seeking out of not only the larger wandering tribes within Canaan, but even the outer realms where sometimes do not seem that significant. 
● As you renew your thoughts to the revealed revelation of truth directly from Father’s mind within, know that scripture holds the types & shadows of truth found in contextual clues that point the way back to the truth of who you were created as, which is the Image and Likeness of the Creator in the origin of eternity past. ● The point is that so many do not see Father-God as far to all, and yet this is just one more example of just how fair our Father is to all of His creation. 
● Joshua 13:30 (NET) says, “Their territory started at Mahanaim {maḥănayim, măkhăn–ăh’–yĭm ~ used as two camps} and encompassed all Bashan {bāšān, băw–shăwn’ ~ used as fruitful}, the whole realm of King Og of Bashan, including all sixty cities in Havvoth Jair in Bashan.” 
● You are not of Adam, and you were not created from Adam, but as the creation of your Father-God, for one to believe you are of Adam and his way of thinking, is because that in this realm of flesh, you forgot what kind of man or woman you were created as, when in reality you are of your Father and have always been holy in His eyes, with an unstained innocence. One might argue that Joshua and the children of Israel were not in Christ, but the fact is that all things that were created and are created, were created by the Eternal Christ who was, and is, and is still manifesting to those who took on the mind of confusion. 
● Joshua 13:31 (NET) says, “Half of Gilead {ghĭl–ăwd}, Ashtaroth {ʿaštārōṯ, ăsh–tăw–ddrōōth’}, and Edrei {'eḏrᵊʿî, ĕd–ddrĕh’–ēē}, cities in the kingdom of Og {ōō–gă} in Bashan {bāšān, băw–shăwn’}, were assigned to the descendants of Makir {māḵîr, măw–khĕĕr’} son of Manasseh, to half the descendants of Makir {māḵîr, măw–khĕĕr’} by their clans.” 
● Joshua 13:32 (NET) says, “These are the land assignments made by Moses {or, which Moses gave} in the rift valley plains of Moab east of the Jordan River opposite Jericho.” 
● A translator’s note (tn) says that the Hebrew can be rendered, “beyond the Jordan, east of Jericho.” The word “River” is not in the Hebrew text, but has been supplied to clarify the meaning.” 
● Joshua 13:33 (NET) says, “However, Moses did not assign land as an inheritance to the Levites; their inheritance {or, their source of food and life} is the LORD God of Israel, as he instructed them.” 
● Just like them, we need to be unencumbered by the things of this present atmosphere, such as we being “spirit, soul, and body” as One complete being, and who manifested here by putting on a “flesh-suit” should not be controlled by this realm of flesh. Why? Because the flesh is influenced by what we see, hear, and touch for starters, and those things the Apostle Paul calls “temporal,” or “temporary and subject to change,” meaning that we cannot depend upon those things. However, having been birthed forth from the womb of God in a supernatural universe, we have the unlimited knowledge of the Christ-mind within. 
● The bottom line is that in Joshua chapter 13, we are seeing the principles of trust what has been handed to you in life, and trust the Lord for what you need each and every day, and within complaining and grumbling, but to know that as a leader, such as Joshua had to make some hard calls, and in this case, he had to follow the instructions of Moses whether he agreed or not; and in doing so, he was at peace within. 
● I think this is the type & shadow of this story is that to live from the Eternal Christ, who is the Person of Peace, is to live each day with the confidence that you were created after the pattern of our Eternal Father, and since you are not only fashioned after His Image & Likeness, but also filled with the Fullness of the Godhead literally, then the supply you believe you need at this moment has already been supplied to the full, and you are healed, whole, blessed, and of a sound mind; and remember, not mind over matter, but the Christ-mind over what matters. I hope you were enlightened and inspired to “dig deep into the well of Father’s mind within” as you watch this video lesson!

Bible Passage (KJV): Joshua 13:7-13 
 
7 Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Manasseh, 
 
8 With whom the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of the Lord gave them; 
 
9 From Aroer, that is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain of Medeba unto Dibon; 
 
10 And all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, unto the border of the children of Ammon; 
 
11 And Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and all mount Hermon, and all Bashan unto Salcah; 
 
12 All the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants: for these did Moses smite, and cast them out. 
 
13 Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites, nor the Maachathites: but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites until this day.
