Hi everyone...did you know that in the Hebrew texts of the Psalms, there is a series of ten symbols that when understood can enable the beautiful melodies of the Psalms to be decoded and written into traditional music notation? The simple videos that have been uploaded are note-for-note transcriptions of the melodies directly from the pages of the Psalm manuscripts.
The main web site listed below has a wealth of information not only about this method, the instruments and music of the Bible, but also has hundreds of free audio tracks and lead sheets to download. At present, most of the vocals on the videos are recorded with the Cantor 2.1 vocal synthesizer and provide a general sense as to what the songs may have sounded like. We are presently seeking professional singers and choirs who may be interested in recording these important works, please let us know if you are interested - scores and backing tracks available.
