 A – É resultado da decisão livre do doador. 1-3 
 1. Bondade – fidelidade à aliança 
 2. Aliança – 1 Sm 20.12-17,42 
 3. Resultado de quem recebeu graça – lembra de ser gracioso com outros. 
 
 B – A situação de Mefibosete 
 1. 2 Sm 4.4 Nome; calamidade; deformação. 
 2. Morando em casa de outros.

2º Samuel 4 - NVI ⁴ ( Jônatas, filho de Saul, tinha um filho aleijado dos pés. Ele tinha cinco anos de idade quando chegou a notícia de Jezreel de que Saul e Jônatas haviam morrido. Sua ama o apanhou e fugiu, mas, na pressa, ele o deixou cair e ele ficou manco. Seu nome era Mefibosete. ) ⁵ Aconteceu então que Recabe e Baaná, filhos de Rimom, de Beerote, foram à casa de Is-Bosete na hora mais quente do dia, na hora do seu descanso do meio-dia. ⁶ Os dois entraram na casa como se fossem buscar trigo, transpassaram-lhe o estômago e depois fugiram. ⁷ Eles haviam entrado na casa enquanto Is-Bosete estava deitado, em seu quarto. Depois de o transpassarem e o matarem, cortaram-lhe a cabeça. E 
levando-a consigo, viajaram toda a noite pela rota da Arabá. ⁸ Levaram a cabeça de Is-Bosete a Davi, em Hebrom, e disseram-lhe: "Aqui está a cabeça de Is-Bosete, filho de Saul, teu inimigo, que tentou tirar-te a vida. Hoje o Senhor vingou o nosso rei e senhor, de Saul e de sua descendência". ⁹ Davi respondeu a Recabe e a Baaná, seu irmão, filhos de Rimom, de Beerote: "Juro pelo nome do Senhor, que me tem livrado de todas as aflições. 
 
2º Samuel 4 - Almeida ⁴ Ora, Jônatas, filho de Saul, tinha um filho aleijado dos pés. Este era da idade de cinco anos quando chegaram de Jizreel as novas a respeito de Saul e Jônatas; pelo que sua ama o tomou, e fugiu; e sucedeu que, apressando-se ela a fugir, ele caiu, e ficou coxo. O seu nome era Mefibosete. ⁵ Foram os filhos de Rimom, o beerotita, Recabe e Baanã, no maior calor de dia, e entraram em casa de Is-Bosete, estando ele deitado a dormir a sesta. ⁶ Entraram ali até o meio da casa, como que vindo apanhar trigo, e o feriram no ventre; e Recabe e Baaná, seu irmão, escaparam. ⁷ Porque entraram na sua casa, estando ele deitado na cama, no seu quarto de dormir, e o feriram e mataram, e cortando-lhe a cabeça, tomaram-na e andaram a noite toda pelo caminho da Arabá. ⁸ Assim trouxeram a cabeça de Is-Bosete a Davi em Hebrom, e disseram ao rei: Eis aqui a 
cabeça de Is-Bosete, filho de Saul, teu inimigo, que procurava a tua morte; assim o Senhor vingou hoje ao rei meu Senhor, de Saul e da sua descendência. ⁹ Mas Davi, respondendo a Recabe e a Baaná, seu irmão, filhos de Rimom, e beerotita, disse-lhes: Vive o Senhor, que remiu a minha alma de toda a angústia!

2 SAMUEL 4:1-12 THE ASSASSINATION OF ISH-BOSHETH (S21 E6)

Rechab and Baanah, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, set out and arrived at Ish-bosheth’s house during the heat of the day while the king was taking his midday nap. They entered the interior of the house as if to get wheat and stabbed him in the stomach. Then Rechab and his brother Baanah escaped. They had entered the house while Ish-bosheth was lying on his bed in his bedroom and stabbed and killed him. They removed his head, took it, and traveled by way of the Arabah all night. They brought Ish-bosheth’s head to David at Hebron and said to the king, “Here’s the head of Ish-bosheth son of Saul, your enemy who intended to take your life. Today the Lord has granted vengeance to my lord the king against Saul and his offspring.” (2 Samuel 4:5-8, CSB)
