Being properly dressed is of vital importance. Not just for the outward show but for eternal life. God never wanted us to be naked! In (Genesis 3:21), Unto Adam, also and to his wife did the LORD GOD make coats of skins, and clothed them. 
The covering needed was not just for their flesh but their souls. 
Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God, is the covering for our souls before a holy God. John 3:16 God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. 
Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on Calvary cross the price was paid for the redemption of our souls . The sin of the first man Adam cause all of the human race to need the coverage of the blood for the remission of sin. 
We are told to put off the old man and to be cloth in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:26-27), For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 
Put on the armor of light. 
(Ephesians 4:17-24),(Ephesians 6:10-17). 
Acts 19:11-19 Being spiritually dressed for the occasion. 
Hebrew 5:14 having their senses exercised to discern both good and evil
