Preaching on the Parasha Ha'azinu
Deuteronomy 32: 1-52

Parashah Haazinu (Hear) is this week's Torah study and it consists of a 70-line “song” delivered by Moses. It is a prophetic warning about Israel's punishment for their sins, as well as a promise of Father’s ultimate redemption.

The “song” is a reminder to Israel (and the generation today) of the value of the Torah. Moses reiterates to the people to take to heart everything he has taught them. They are to study, meditate on the Torah and teach these to their children, for they are the very words of God.

The Torah or instructions of God is not something irrelevant or a legalistic burden that should be done away with. The Torah is our very life and we need to take it to heart. Deuteronomy 32:45-47
