Listen to his voice. George Beverly Shea said.
“He does not repeat his message. He is always on the look-out for new ways to say it. Of course, he doesn’t read but a paragraph of or two occasionally. He could repeat the sermon on The American Home. Word for word It would be marvelous, but he never has. He has to get out new thoughts. He’s not an evangelist who has a file full of sermons that he keeps repeating. “
No matter where he was, be it with the presidents in the US, Johnson or others on the golf course, President Stroessner in Paraguay, Kim II Sung in North Korea, Premier Li Peng in China, Boris Yeltsin in Moscow, North Korea Guatemala, London , reaching the youth in Great Britain, sharing in the locker rooms with athletes, speaking to little children, the Johnny Carson show , or going up and down the Bank of the Hillsboro River preaching to the stumps his message was the same as those in his crusades. The Good News of the Gospel Of Jesus Christ. That is what he said he had to preach. He was asked to run for office and be in the movies but he turned it down saying it is not my call. He listened, prayed and gave credit to the only one who deserves it, Jesus Christ . And God almighty used him over and over. What a true man of God!
“I am challenged by his statements God provided because of His grace, not because we deserved it.
Also when he said. Until we believe that men are really lost, we lose the keen sharp edge in our ministry. Pray continually
