A fascinating and personal "inside look" at this great man of faith...who believed that nothing was too great for God. Mr. Short has gathered the diary together with helpful explanatory material that allows George Müller to "live" again.
Says Mr. Short: "In my opinion, the example of George Müller's life did more to stimulate active faith in God, amongst people all over the world, than did the work or preaching of any other man, during the second half of the nineteenth century....Excellent books have been written about him, but nothing could be so helpful, so arresting, so calculated to bring tears to the eyes, as George Müller's own diary."
George Müller was a Christian evangelist and the director of the Ashley Down orphanage in Bristol, England. He was one of the founders of the Plymouth Brethren movement. Later during the split, his group was labelled as the Open Brethren.
