The Lord Jesus rebuked the church in Pergamos because there were members of the assembly who held the teaching of Balaam, including eating food sacrificed to idols. Many people of today partake of "food" sacrificed to idols. Not all of these idols are commonly referred to as sin, but each of them often is a source of gratification for demons.
