Stephen Charnock, eminent divine and author of the expansive Existence and Attributes of God, here writes on faith and sin. What characterizes obedience to Christ? What misery does the unbeliever enjoy? Who is the object of our faith? How do we know we are in the faith? In typical systematic Puritan fashion, Charnock exposits these and other themes related to belief and unbelief, sin, regeneration, man's hostility toward his Creator, and the mercy he shows those who yield their souls to him.
