Wesley and Winnie Gould are delighted that they have lived long enough to see that their labours for Christ were not in vain. God has prospered their missionary work far beyond their imagination, and it is still growing. This was not only a work of faith, it was an experience of triumphant faith through Christ and the power of the gospel.
Wesley and Winnie Gould were great examples of senior missionaries to me, and I learned a great deal from them. The Piracuruca church presented them with a plaque in appreciation of their work, the exact words of which summarise the thoughts of the Brazilian believers: "The time is passing but nobody could erase from our hearts the gratitude to God and to you for the pioneering work done with so much love and kindness".
