Now it must be stated clearly: There is nothing wrong with local organizing committees, talented Gospel singers, and newspaper and television advertising. But our reliance on all these tools to bring in the people reveals a sad condition—the Spirit is hardly present and we are trying to make up for His relative absence. To be perfectly frank, we need to do all these things right now. Otherwise hardly anyone would show up!”

Michael L.
