Order ye the buckler and shield ,.... Both signify one and the same sort of armour, only of a different form, the one being lesser and lighter than the other. It is the word of the Lord which came to Jeremiah against the Gentiles; for God is King and Judge of nations, knows and will call to an account those who know him not nor take any notice of him.
