We are still on the journey through 40 Days of Renewal for Lenten Season. Today we are looking at how David is search for the reasons life is so fragile. Well what you will see is that David is being punished by God and his questions about the fragility of life could be more about when will God stop punishing him. We are back on the journey through our 40 Days of Renewal.  Today we are looking at Psalms 39:1-3.  What is interesting with this lament and penitential psalm is that David is being punished by God and he knows it.  He wants to say something about it so bad but he has to bite his tongue - or does he?  Have you been there before.  Let's see how this turns out.

We are still on our consecration journey.  Today we are looking at Psalm 63:1-6.  Here is your assignment.  Look at these 6 verses as if they were a checklist for your worship.  Do a serious inventory and see what you come up with   Engage the text.  I bet you will be better for it.  Tomorrow we will look at Psalm 63:7-11. Hello, we are still in our consecration period called "40 Days of Renewal".  Today, we finished up Psalm 105.  Following the literary pattern of the Psalm you learned a great way to give your testimony.  This psalm was a combination of a "Song of Victory"  a "Worship Psalm" a "Battle Story" and a "Psalm of Confidence"  That is a powerful combination. We are continuing our 40 Days of Renewal during this Lenten Season.  We took a look at Psalm 105:16-36 and we will finish up Psalm 105 tomorrow.  It has been eye opening for many people to see how much easier it is to understand the bible if you understand the basics of reading the bible as literature.

Okay we are continuing our consecration quest through the lenten season  with  "40 Days of Renewal"  We are covering Ecclesiastes 3:20 today.  Ecclesiastes is a tricky book and if you are paying attention to the literary format in could even make you feel hopeless.  Hang in here while we break the book down and how to read it.  When you understand the style the book will transform itself from something you might ignore to something you can really relate to.
