Beuttler was born in Germany in 1904. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1925. In 1931 he graduated from Central Bible Institute. He served on the faculty at Eastern Bible Institute from 1939-1972. During a campus revival in 1951, God called Beuttler to “go teach all nations,” and for 22 years he travelled around the world ministering the word of God. He retired in Shaverton, PA with his wife Elizabeth. There he continued his ministry until he went to be with the Lord in 1974.

"Spiritual hunger presupposes a spiritual capacity. Such hunger originates with God (John 6:44). This hunger is, in fact, God Himself hungering for Himself through our spirit on our behalf. It is the call of God for the truth for which we hunger and is at the same time a divine guarantee of its satisfaction when this hunger is not diverted into other channels and thereby destroyed. “Blessed are they that hunger—for they shall be filled.” The earnest seeker after the God of the Word as well as the word of God, can expect to find in these notes “treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places” (Isa. 45:3)."

Manifest Presence of God - Part 3

The trip to Germany where I ministered in my sister's Church was the beginning of a ministry that reached around the world. The pastor had said, “Just think, God sent a man from America to answer my prayers.” While this was taking place, the Lord had something further in mind. One morning, He spoke ... Read More

“Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? says the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? says the Lord.” Jeremiah 23:24 The Lord “fills” both heaven and earth. Manifest Presence of God - Part 9

Often, during the night season, the Lord comes and instructs me about “spiritual sensitivity” and “responsiveness” to His presence. During one of these times, the Lord strongly impressed me with this Scripture: “…Do not I fill heaven and earth?” Jeremiah 23:24 This has become such a reality to me th... Read More

Perils in the Wilderness - Part 2

Moses prayed, “Show me now Thy way that I may know Thee.” I have also mentioned that God, in His Word, complains on repeated occasions the lack of His people knowing and understanding His ways. In Jeremiah, for instance, He says, “They have not known My ways.” I realize that a subject, like “The way... Read More

Recognizing the Voice of God

Tonight we are coming to the “voice” of the Spirit. Again I would like you to remember that what I am giving you is fragmentary, the reason being that there is ever so much more to be said about the subject than we have time to say. But the things I do say ought to be helpful to many of you. First I... Read More

School of the Spirit

This morning, as I spent communion with the Lord, I felt impressed to go back to the “School of the Spirit.” And I expect we will do so this morning, and also this evening. The other night, I gave one evening particularly to the “School of the Spirit.” We will also go back to Isaiah 50, and consider... Read More

Songs in the Night

These “Songs in the Night” relate to the Lord visiting us during the night season, which He has made especially real to me. We hear little about this, but the Lord’s people need light concerning the possibility of His visiting them during the night. The Lord delights in visiting us during the night,... Read More
