During a campus revival in 1951, God called Beuttler to “go teach all nations,” and for 22 years he travelled around the world ministering the word of God. "Spiritual hunger presupposes a spiritual capacity. Such hunger originates with God (John 6:44). This hunger is, in fact, God Himself hungering for Himself through our spirit on our behalf. It is the call of God for the truth for which we hunger and is at the same time a divine guarantee of its satisfaction when this hunger is not diverted into other channels and thereby destroyed. “Blessed are they that hunger—for they shall be filled.” The earnest seeker after the God of the Word as well as the word of God, can expect to find in these notes “treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places” (Isa. 45:3)."

I have been teaching Isaiah for many years, and never saw this until the Lor... Read More

The Call of God

I thought I might profitably chat with you about the “Call of God.” I spend most of my time overseas with national pastors, missionaries, and Bible schools. I teach this subject frequently, as it is very much on my heart. So I will share some truths along this line, and also try to apply them to you... Read More

The Cost of Being a Prophet

The cost of being a prophet is our line of thought this morning. “Behold, one came (Mark says, one came running) and said to him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said to him, Why call you Me good? There is none good but one, that is, God; but if you will... Read More

The Knowledge of God - Part 1

The Lord gives different people different experiences, as He deals with us differently. When I share certain things with you, they are not mere stories. If you listen carefully, you will learn how God works in me, and how He works, or desires to work in you. These experiences will become vehicles of... Read More

The Knowledge of God - Part 2

We will now consider the activities of the Holy Spirit. He is a worker and needs us, for we are His instrumentality, or the means by which He accomplishes His work. “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless to the coming... The Knowledge of God - Part 3

Moses prayed, “Show me now Your way that I may know You.” I am amazed at the working of God, the world over. What I observe each year in many countries is this: God is at work breaking down denominational differences, prejudices, and ecclesiastical bigotry, where one group says, “We are His people.”... The Lord's Visits to His People

At 4:00 o’clock this morning, the Lord awakened me with a very intense presence. As a result, instead of speaking what I had planned, I will share along the line of the Lord’s visit, as I feel the Lord would very much like to visit us. “But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that... The School of Prayer - Part 1

In the Old Testament, there were at least three Bible schools (we call them that) in existence. They were called the school of the prophets. There was one at Gilgal, one at Bethel, and one in Jericho. Jericho Bible College apparently had 50 students enrolled. I have been teaching Old Testament for m... Read More

Now I want to see what I can do with you this morning. I’ll have to give you some fragments that I pick up and try to do it in a reasonable order to try to be helpful. The School of Prayer -Part 2

We are going to consider the prayer of a child of God, as in Matthew 6:6. Remember, the Lord talked about the prayer of the Pharisee, the prayer of the heathen. The Way of the Lord in the Wilderness - Part 1

We are beginning with Isaiah 43, the “Way of the Lord in the Wilderness.” The Lord gave this to me yesterday, contrary to my expectations. “Thus saith the Lord, which makes a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters; Remember you not the former things, neither consider the things of old. To Him That Overcomes

“To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His throne” (Revelation 3:21). To Prove Thee in the Wilderness - Part 3

We are in the subject area of the Ways of the Lord. Moses prayed; “Show me now Thy way that I may know Thee,” and we are told that God revealed His ways to Moses.
