There is a remarkable conversation in the Bible between Jesus and a Pharisee named Nicodemus about the kingdom of God. Christ said that except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of heaven. This sparked the question in Nicodemus’ mind, and other people who have heard and read it. So how does a person be born again?

Being born again can only take place with a repentant heart that puts his faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. It is not a physical, literal birth. That already happened when our mothers brought us out in the world.

When a person is born again, it is the Holy Spirit that creates a new life in him, making him a new person. The Apostle Paul refers to a saved person as a “new creature.”

What other Bible verses talk about being born again?
