The Bible is not just a philosophical book that is full of godly principles and ideals. It is also a practical book because it teaches that application of God’s teachings is as important as listening to them. One way this point is emphasized is by helping the poor.

Having faith in God should not end with the lips, it should continue with the life of the believer. One can say that he believes in God yet does not care about the suffering people around him. But the much better example is he who shows his faith in God by helping those who are in need.

Have you understood the sacrifice Jesus did just so you can have hope of eternal life? If He recognized your need, you should recognize the needs of others as well.
