<h3>Psalm 132 </h3><h3>A song of ascents.</h3>132 <poetry><smallCap>Lord</smallCap>, remember David <indent>and all his self-denial. </indent></poetry> 2 <poetry>He swore an oath to the <smallCap>Lord</smallCap>, <indent>he made a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob: </indent> </poetry> 3 <poetry>“I will not enter my house <indent>or go to my bed,</indent> </poetry> 4 <poetry>I will allow no sleep to my eyes <indent>or slumber to my eyelids,</indent> </poetry> 5 <poetry>till I find a place for the <smallCap>Lord</smallCap>, <indent>a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”</indent></poetry> 6 <poetry>We heard it in Ephrathah, <indent>we came upon it in the fields of Jaar: </indent> </poetry> 7 <poetry>“Let us go to his dwelling place, <indent>let us worship at his footstool, saying,</indent> </poetry> 8 <poetry>‘Arise, <smallCap>Lord</smallCap>, and come to your resting place, <indent>you and the ark of your might.</indent> </poetry> 9 <poetry>May your priests be clothed with your righteousness; <indent>may your faithful people sing for joy.’”</indent></poetry> 10 <poetry>For the sake of your servant David, <indent>do not reject your anointed one.</indent></poetry> 11 <poetry>The <smallCap>Lord</smallCap> swore an oath to David, <indent>a sure oath he will not revoke:</indent> “One of your own descendants <indent>I will place on your throne.</indent> </poetry> 12 <poetry>If your sons keep my covenant <indent>and the statutes I teach them,</indent> then their sons will sit <indent>on your throne for ever and ever.”</indent></poetry>
