All over the country many have celebrated the late Reverend Dr Martin Luther King, Jr today. His very famous "I have a dream"  speech provoked me to thought regarding God's thoughts concerning His people. I would like to share some thoughts concerning these verses of scripture.

At the Kitchen Table: Your dreams vs God's thoughts - Jeremiah 29: 8 & 11

Tonight my granddaughter, Kale’a Williams was so excited to speak a Word for the Lord. Her excited encourages me to continue the work of the Lord. Sometimes as adults we make the Word so difficult and it’s really simple; so simple the Word declares that a fool can’t error. Enjoy the simplicity of the Word shared by this daughter of Zion!

At the Kitchen Table; Don’t be afraid- Jeremiah 1:4-8 (special guest-Kale’a Williams)

What an eye opener this story is; it shows the mercy and grace of God. While we relax in just being "saved" those around us often are not convinced of the urgency to come out of sin. Surrounding our self with blatant sin and iniquity we have to expect that those who we love the most are being affected by our blowing of godly standards.

How many relationships have we formed over the years for what we thought we could get? Although our rough situations might have led us to God we must build our relationship with Him on who He is and what is to come after this world. If we build relationships off of things, if and when those things are no longer available it will possibly cause a rift in the relationship; if not destroy it all together. As an heir with Jesus we must keep our hearts and minds turned to the eternal; for when life comes against us we will still have our integrity.

Moses really had a hard time with the Israelites. He just couldn't satisfy them. Fear gripped their hearts and they begin to wish they had never left Egypt. People no matter what you are facing with God it is always better than a life serving your enemy.

At the Kitchen Table: Enslavement or the wilderness? Exodus 14:11 & 12

Here in scripture we learn how we can come from total blindness (not knowing Jesus), to partial blindness (introduced but not understanding to the fullness), to perfect vision (a place of maturity and understand of who Jesus). Never be afraid to tell Jesus you need another touch.

At the Kitchen Table; Jesus will do it again - Mark 8:22-25

We, as born again believers have to take responsibility for our daily consecration unto the Lord. We as the people of God are called to sanctification. We must come out of unclean living and affectionately pursue the ways of God. We must commit the Word of God to memory and be found doing His Word in our daily lives.

At the Kitchen Table; Sanctify Yourself, Leviticus 20:7 & 8

How many times have you had all assureness that God blessed you with something or someone; however it appeared nothing could or would become of it. I submit to you we need to go back to the Father and ask Him for springs of water. We know water sustains life and health. I believe we need to hurry back to our Father God with expectation and watch Him release the springs!

At the kitchen table; Joshua 15:16, 18 & 19 I need spring water for this dry land

Praise the Lord! God's throne resides in justice and judgment. God operates in truth and in mercy. Come to God with your "real" truth and be delivered and set free.

At the kitchen table; Psalm 89:14 The veil of mercy is before His face

The 1st thing God did was create heaven and earth. The 2nd thing God did was create light. God desires for us to see. We are as a city on the hill the world is looking up to us. We should have the gigher of standards and morals. We are to shine so a dying world can find their way to the God of creation. Be encourage whatever you may have in you life that is causing your wattage to be dull, dust it off. You can't be hidden once you have connected with Him so let us get it together and shine as ambassadors for Christ.

At the kitchen table; Genesis 1:1-3, John 8:12, and Matthew 5:14 Dust off, We are the light

God in His infinite wisdom has equipt us with many weapons, one of which is singing. When appointed by the Lord you can sing to His glory and He will send an ambush before you arrive at the battle. He will defeat your enemy and allow you to take away the spoil.

At the kitchen table; 2 Corinthians 10:4&5 and 2 Chronicles 20:21, 22, &25 The weapon of singing

Many times things show up in our ground that we didn't plant. Perhaps those seeds were planted during a storm in our life, a tragedy, or illness. Be assured that if you continue to keep God's commandments and do His will Deuteronomy 28:4 applies to you; He will bless your ground. The blessing of the Lord can overtake any weed that life has planted in your spiritual ground.
