Abundant Grace

We’ve been talking about living in victory, finding break thru & 2015 being the year of abundance in our lives. And God has some incredible & miraculous things for us this year. 
 
But, if we’re really honest this morning, for some of us, the idea of break through feels like everyone else’s reality. You’re facing the harshness of life, the reality of life, & it has caused your faith to wear thin, to almost seen gone. You hear that God wants to bring fruit, abundance & harvest into your life this year, but you’re having a tough time seeing that as your reality. And rather than fruitful, you’re feeling fruitless, lifeless & faithless. 
 
This may be a hard place, a dry place now, but this season doesn’t have to dictate our lives forever.

A Faith Renewed - Matthew 21:18-22

Too often in this life, we go on what we know, what we see, what we feel. And our faith in this life gets limited by our trusting in what we can do. And the real problem is, we can do so little. On our own. 
But the reality is we are not on our own. And in the name of Jesus Christ, we can do the miraculous.

Jesus has all the power I need - Matthew 17:14-18

We celebrate our freedom on the 4th of July, but often forget that freedom was given by God. And with great freedom comes the potential to forget the price paid to grant freedom. 
Or worse, a disregard for the gift of freedom. This is where we stand today. As a nation, we have forgotten how, when, & where our freedom came to us. 
Our freedom is a gift from God And we stand on the brink of disaster & destruction. Because Forgetting is disastrous.

To have a strong nation, you need strong leaders, who follow God, with all their heart. We don't have that today because we have lost the fear of God. It shows in every corner of our country. Even in our churches. 
Jesus created his church, his bride to be a holy representation of him here on earth. We are here to be a holy community, for his name. 
To have a holy community, we need a holy fear.

Too often we see our value as the world declares it to us. And we live our lives at a lesser level because we set our worth based on that estimation. 
But that is not the value that the creator God who formed us says we have. 
When we understand our value before God, our worth in his eyes. then we can learn to trust him to provide and protect us in the every day things of life.

Jesus warns his followers that we will be hated for our willingness to follow after him. And that following may cost us our lives.
