Some Christians that have backslidden want to come back to Jesus but they are held back by a verse in Hebrews chapter 6. I’m going to read it for you it’s Hebrews 6:4-6, it says this; “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.” This verse has held many backsliders from coming back to the Lord Jesus. They think that it is impossible for them because, “thus says scripture”. I want to tell you that NOTHING is impossible for God, and you should let nothing get in between your relationship with the Lord, even if it is a Bible verse. It is true that even men filled with the Holy Spirit cannot make someone else repent that was once enlightened. It is not by the power of men that others repent. No matter how hard I try or you try to get someone to repent it will be impossible for us, especially if those people were once enlightened. However, if those people that have fallen away DO want to repent, if they come to JESUS, ALL things are possible with God and Jesus WILL make the way for them IF they are willing. It is impossible with men, but what is impossible with us is certainly possible with God. Don’t be put off by ANY Bible verse or any person that tells you that you cannot come back to Jesus and reconcile, because IT IS POSSIBLE IF YOU WANT TO! May the grace of Jesus be with you.

Christians have been very dishonest with themselves about the Bible and Scripture. The Christians like to say that they Bible is able to make them wise unto salvation. Their proof text is 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 15 which says; “From childhood you have know the holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” If it were true that the Scripture alone could make you wise unto salvation, Jesus would NOT have condemned the Pharisees and their knowledge. The Pharisees KNEW the Scripture, yet Jesus condemned them. Jesus also condemns the church of today because they THINK they are finding life in the scriptures, BUT they are refusing to obey Jesus and come to Jesus that they may have life. That is why the Apostle Paul wrote to Brother Timothy that is through faith which is in CHRIST JESUS. 
 The other dishonest thing that Christians have believed is that the Bible is the Final Authority and their Word of God. The proof text that they use for this is 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 16, it says; “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God…” They think that because Paul wrote that all Scripture is given by inspiration of God that this means the Bible is the Word of God. BUT WE KNOW THAT JESUS IS THE WORD OF GOD if we look at Revelation 19:13 or John 1:1 or 1 John 1:1. And the proof that this “inspiration” is something different (different from what the hypocrites preach) is found in 2 Peter chapter 1 verse 20-21, I want to read this to you so that you may KNOW the truth! It says; “…no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy NEVER came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” See, the inspiration comes when the Word of God, MEANING JESUS inspires a man to write. The prophets wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit NOT their own flesh. So the Bible is the writing of MEN who were inspired BY THE HOLY SPIRIT. It is not that the Bible is the Word of God; the men were rather inspired by the Word of God (meaning JESUS, by His Holy Spirit). 
 Now, it is totally possible for a prophet to be inspired by the Word of God, meaning Jesus, and write down what he heard from Jesus and then for a Christian hypocrite to read it, to idolize it, to LOVE the writing, but to NEVER come to the truth of Jesus. THAT is exactly what is happening today. These Christian hypocrites, they love to read the Bible and prove that the Bible is their Word of God. They love to say “All Scripture is inspired…” They love to say that; “I’m to read 2 Timothy Chapter 3:15-17 about the Bible making me wise…” YET, they are able to NEVER become wise to salvation because they have NOT put their faith in JESUS. These SAME Christians that say; “All Scripture is God breath…” are hypocrites because they do not even believe their OWN writings in their Bible. To give one example, if we flip over to 1 John chapter 3 verse 9 we read this; “Whoever has been born of God does NOT sin, for His seed remains in him; and he CANNOT sin, because he has been born of GOD.” See, the same Christians who say; “ALL Scripture is God breathed…”, they don’t look at THIS Scripture very long or very hard or take it very realistically. THEY ARE HYPOCRITES! Those that are filled with the Holy Spirit DO NOT SIN; they are the holy men of God who write the Scriptures, who have holy writings, they encourage you and they encourage me. They encourage us to live holy and to listen to the TRUE WORD OF GOD WHICH IS JESUS CHRIST. JESUS is the Word of God, NOT the Bible. JESUS is the Final Authority, NOT the Bible, and JESUS is where we find LIFE, not the Bible. Do YOU know Jesus as your Lord and are you as the holy men of God who are inspired by the Holy Spirit? Or are you more like the hypocrites up in church who idolize the Bible, who are ever learning, who never stop going to Bible study and reading their Bible, but NEVER come to the truth? May the grace of Jesus be with you.
