Giving of Dreams! 
Genesis 37:15-11 
 
Question? Does God still speak to people through dreams? Joseph had two dreams that he did not understand (Gen 37:6 & 37:9), but it also causes his brother to hate him (Gen 37: 5, 8) and his father to rebuke him (Gen 37:10). God was showing a plan that was going to be fulfilled through Joseph’s family that would build a nation, that one day would come out of Egypt and fulfill God’s covenant promise that was given to Abraham. Disciple Principle: Dreams are a way that God can speak to people, to give insight, direction, understanding, a forthtelling of future events. Disciples do not discount or underestimate the power of dreams and take time to discern what the will of God is for your life. God does given people dreams (Joel 2:28).

Giving of Dreams!

Giving a Drink Offering! 
Genesis 35:11-15 
 
God gives His name to Israel, “I Am the God Almighty” (Gen 35:11). This would become the foundation stone that Israel would now meet with God as. Their focus was to be on this “Mighty Name”. Then God ascended up from talking with them as His children, people of the covenant promise that was made with Abraham (Gen 35:12-13). Now Israel sets up a pillar at Bethel (house of God) and then anoints it with oil (holy and separated unto God) and pours out a drink offering onto it also. The drink offer was to be a sign of relationship, fellowship, gratitude, and devotion (Gen 35:14). Disciple Principle: We need to meet with God, to have a place of meeting with God, seeing and knowing that He is Anointed and Holy One. At that place we renew our relationship and comment to Him by pouring out ourselves upon Christ Jesus, who poured out Himself before the Father as our sin bearer and deliver on the cross of Calvary.

Given El Bethel!

Given Us Bethel! 
Genesis 35:1-5 
 
Jacob was being called back to Bethel, but this time he was bringing his whole family (Gen 35:1-2). He stands before all the people who have journeyed with him to exhort them to do three things. Given Us Bethel! 
Genesis 35:1-5

Giving of Life! Genesis 32:1-21

Given a Witness! 
Genesis 31:43-55 
 
A covenant promise becomes binding, when there are witnesses (Gen 31:52) that can hear and see that the parties have vow and given an oath to what they have committed to each other (Gen 31:54). Laban and Jacob have entered into a “witness of giving” to each other, a covenant that was witnessed by each other, by their family, by their workers and by the LORD. (Gen 31:44-54). They set up stones that would give witness (Gen 31:45-46) and they also ask God to watch over them all as a Witness (Gen 31:49). They name the place Galeed which means “Heap of Witnesses (Gen 31:48). Disciple Principle: God takes us all on a journey and gives us places or crossroad encounters, that cause us to come to Him as our Mediator (Rock) and to break bread with Him as a witness to our faith and commitment (communion), which we have given to each other.

Giving of oneself to another is a deep sacrifice of love, which open to us a oneness, a journey of following (Gen 24:61). Never let the enemy silence your testimony, but speak it out, give the details and you will see that God will prosper your way (Gen 24:40, 42, 48). The servant of Abraham was seeing the hand of God moving and working out and showing the way and now he gives a testimony (Gen 24 34-48) that cause Rebekah family to give their family member to the servant, to take home both to Abraham and for Isaac to be his wife (Gen 24:50-51). A powerful God given testimony that leads to worship (Gen 24:52). Disciple Principle: Do not be ashamed of your testimony, know that it has come from God, and He wants to use it, to prosper you way, to fill your heart with worship and to show the way of faith in Christ to those around you each day.

Envy and jealousy divides people, but the proclaiming of the “Word of the Lord” fills people with joy and more of the Holy Spirit. When we get into the Word and the Word gets into us, we through the power of the Holy Spirit get filled with boldness, joy and more of the Holy Spirit presence. Let today as disciples ask Christ to let us be a light for all nations, pointing people toward the salvation of Jesus Christ (Acts 13:47, Is 49:6).
