Highlights: 
 
* If anyone on earth could have helped Jesus, it would have been his disciples, but they could not. 
 
* Jesus was utterly alone. He was the only person on earth with the Spirit of God. 
 
* Take a moment to imagine what it would be like with no one on earth to understand you or encourage you. What a great blessing it is for us to have each other! 
 
* The most precious gift we have is one another, 
people who have the Spirit, too, who understand our testimonies and who can encourage us with theirs. 
 
* Here is an important lesson: In spite of how good some people appear, if they are without the Spirit, they cannot edify you any more than the disciples could edify Jesus. 
 
* Here is another important lesson: Those who are walking in the Spirit experience what Jesus experienced in this world, specifically, feeling the burden of those who are not in the Spirit but think they are doing well, spiritually. 
Jesus; disciples, before they received the Spirit, were nothing but a burden to Jesus. 
 
* Dead spirits are a burden to spirits that are alive in Christ. And the opposite is true: Spirits that are alive in Christ are a burden to spirits that are dead. 
 
* Dead or dying spirits are NOT a burden to other dead or dying spirits. And spirits that are alive are not a burden to other spirits that are alive. 
 
* If our unconverted friends and loved ones are not a burden to us, then we are a burden to Jesus and to everyone who is like him. 
 
* Hear what the Spirit is saying! 
"In flirting with the world, and in turning to the world for companionship, you are gambling with more than your soul; you are provoking the Lord to jealousy and gambling with the lives that are around you!" 
 
* There is NO equality between the Father and the Son. 
 
* In every way imaginable, the Father is greater than the Son. 
 
* "He is anti-Christ, who denies the Father and the Son" (1John 2:22). 
 
* There is a Father who never has been and never will be the Son, and there is a Son who never has been and never will be the Father. 
 
* Stay away from that Trinitarian spirit; it's a malignant and contagious spiritual disease. 
 
* If all God's children would take on the humble attitude of a slave, every conflict among them would immediately cease. 
 
* To a foolish man, wisdom sounds wrong, and correction feels like a personal attack, not because wisdom is wrong, and not because correction is an attack, but because of this: 
 
"The way of a fool is right in his own eyes" (Prov. 12:15). 
 
* When God becomes very angry with a fool, He will bless him so that the fool will think everything is just fine with his soul, and then die and go to hell. 
 
* As much as God loves His children, and as patient as He is with us all, He can reach a point at which He ceases to try any longer to correct a soul. 
 
* I don't know how anyone could have less hope than a fool, but if God says that a proud man has less hope than a fool, then a proud man has less hope than a fool. So, avoid pride at all cost! 
 
* May God save us from being either foolish or proud!

* When Jesus said it is better to cut off a diseased member before it infects the whole body, he was talking about a believer who is committed to some form of ungodliness -- an attitude, or lifestyle, or doctrine -- so that he is endangering the spiritual well-being of God's "little ones", those who are especially open to influence. 
 
Such a person is despising the young ones in God's family by being a bad example for them. 
 
* The example we are for God's "little ones" matters a great deal to God. 
 
* When a member of the assembly here ridiculed sister Sandy in front of some of God's "little ones", including children, it was an unthinkable crime against Christ, and a danger to the body. 
 
* Differences in opinion, we can tolerate. But in the face of such a great work of God as is described by Sandy's testimony in this video, there should not even be any opinions.

* Your liberty in Christ is absolute. All things really are yours, and all things really are pure to those who are pure. But your liberty is so complete that: 
 
(1) You are free to walk in it, and 
(2) You are free not to walk in it 
 
. . . the whole issue is this: What can we do that will make it more likely that God’s children will continue in Christ to become like a little child? 
 
* In 1993, when Jesus finally got us out of Christianity, he taught me that if we developed a disdainful attitude toward Christians, he’d rather we still be one. 
 
* There is absolutely nothing that is wrong for you to do IF GOD WANTS YOU TO DO IT. 
 
* At the same time, there is nothing right for you to do UNLESS GOD WANTS YOU TO DO IT. 
 
* Everything in this universe is nothing. All that matters is, “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” 
 
* God is not asking us to do whatever others say is right. We are no longer “debtors to the flesh , to live after the flesh.” He only asks us to walk in love and do whatever the Spirit leads us to do. And we can do that. That standard, in fact, is what we will be judged by. 
 
* The purpose for God giving us the mind of Christ is to make us one. The great goal is fellowship. Let’s work together, with Jesus, to that end.

* God does not want unsanctified spirits spreading the news about His Son Jesus, not even the spirits of otherwise good and decent people, such as the disciples before Pentecost, because they cannot do it right. 
 
* Demons don't have the Spirit, and they never will; angels don't have the Spirit, and they never will. And we humans are not born with it -- but Jesus died for us to have it! 
 
* The confusion that the Bible calls Babylon is when people with the Spirit join those without the Spirit to promote a gospel that is not from God. 
 
* It is a fundamental tenet of the gospel that all men are born with a sinful nature, and it stays that way unless God draws them to His Son. That is why Jesus died for everybody, not just the bad people. Everybody is bad. 
 
* The Spirit is constantly striving with human hearts, trying to convince us all that what we are, even at our best, is not what God is, and what we think, even at our best, is not what God thinks, and what we do, even at our best, is not what God wants done. 
 
* God is looking for people who will hear Him, and be honest with themselves, and admit that Jesus and David were right, that even the best of men are evil, and then repent so that He can be as good to them as He wants to be, and wash them from their sin. 
 
* The best we humans can be without receiving and being led by the Spirit is like Satan. That is why Jesus told Nicodemus, "You must be born again." 
 
* God's children who turn from doing God's will to their own ways are like Satan, in that they have done what he did. 
 
* The cost for following Jesus is your life, the kind of life with which we were all born in this world. You are blessed if you lose that life. 
 
* Our heavenly Father wants us to know the cost of following His Son before we plunge in, and He wants us to weigh that cost because if we faithfully follow Jesus we really will have to pay it! 
 
* It is a wonderful thing to know that Jesus is coming again and that when he comes, he will judge righteous judgments and make everything right. We long for that. 
 
* Have you ever wondered what you would do if Jesus was not coming back? 
 
* We hear a lot about cruel Roman emperors persecuting believers and throwing them to the lions. But it is a historical fact that since the time of the apostles, far more of God's children have been slain by "good Christians" than the Romans ever thought about killing.

* It is beneficial to hear the sweet message of the gospel again and again. 
 
* The wonderful thing about teaching and preaching is that if it is of God, it is not new to God's children because the Spirit is already saying those things in their hearts. 
 
* There is not a single word in the Bible that is written to sinners. The only thing that God has to say to a sinner is "repent". And if a sinner does that, he will be forgiven, born of the Spirit, and belong to the people for whom all things were written.

* Nothing edifies, or builds up, God's people except something God does. Preacher Clark (George C. Clark, Sr.) said it well: "What God requires, requires God." And God does His work in our life by His Spirit. 
 
* What is in the Spirit is acceptable to God, but what this generation does not understand is that ONLY what is in the Spirit is acceptable to God. 
 
* The Spirit is the only thing on earth that is holy, and if it is in you, you are holy. 
 
* In order for worship to be acceptable to God, God must sanctify the worshippers by the holy Ghost. 
 
* If we are worshipping our God in a way that men can worship Him without the Spirit, we are worshipping in vain, just like the world. 
 
* Carnal ways of worship are over - no matter how many other people are doing it - no matter what great names are doing it - no matter how long it has been done. 
 
* If God does something for you, stick with it, and nothing will prevail against you. 
 
* The spirit of this age is a spirit of victimhood. 
 
* The gates of hell (referred to in Mat. 16:18) are entranceways into hell; that is, ways that men invent which lead into hell. 
 
* Every false religion is a gate into hell. 
 
* False religion is religion without the holy Ghost, because God does everything by the Spirit. 
 
* ANY religion that you can participate in without being sanctified by the holy Ghost is a gate of hell - this includes Islam, Judaism, Shintoism, and Christianity and all of its sects. 
 
* If you have the Spirit, you are in the kingdom of God because the kingdom of Good is in you. (Rom. 14:17) 
 
* The "keys" Jesus gave to Peter (Mat. 16:19) was an anointing to open the door to the kingdom of god so that people could receive the Spirit and enter into it. 
 
* Every apostle was anointed with power, but none of them could lay hands on people and have them receive the Spirit until after Peter unlocked the doors. 
 
* There were three keys that Jesus gave to Peter:

* When a body that God has put together communicates to a brother or a sister that fellowship with them is lacking, or when a real pastor tells them something is amiss in their spirit, or when a godly elder or mother in Christ tells them that something does not feel right, a wise child of God humbles himself and makes the adjustments needed to regain lost fellowship with the body and to have things right with God. 
 
* when God gives a new birth to people, He calls them "gods" (with a little "g"). 
 
* God wants us to get away from false teachers because their disease will at some point cling to us, and make us worth of their reward. 
 
* The Son of god's sole purpose for coming here was to do the will of his Father. That is the only reason the Son of God came to earth. 
 
* Only God knows what is really true and good, and those who are wise, like Jesus, do not "lean to their own understanding", but trust what God says instead. * God's approving presence is all that we need because it is all that really matters. 
 
* When we trust in Jesus alone to cleanse us by the Spirit alone, we are taking refuge in the LORD. 
 
* When we trust in Jesus alone to baptize us by the Spirit alone, we are taking refuge in the LORD. 
 
* When we trust in Jesus alone to guide us by the Spirit alone, we are taking refuge in the LORD. 
 
* When we take refuge in the LORD, the world and the foolish among God's children will say to us, "Flit away, little sparrow, to your mountain!" 
 
* Important Lesson # 4: Experiences with the power of God are necessary 
 
* Miraculous biblical stories, such as Jesus feeding the multitude or walking on the water, can become like fairy tales to us if we lose touch with the power of God. 
 
* You need experiences with God in order to know whether or not what you believe is true. 
 
* Your faith will give out; it will run dry and come short. But when God creates His saving faith in us by His Spirit, that faith will keep us unto eternal life.

* God's enemies today are glad to be left out of the Blessing (the baptism of the holy Ghost) 
 
* The degree of your joy depends on how much you value being called by God. Just how good is it to you that, "to you it has been given"? 
 
* Jesus said that understanding the parable of the four kinds of soil is essential to understanding any of his parables. 
 
* Before the Spirit came, no one understood Jesus, but there were some out of whose heart, the Evil One did not take away the seed Jesus sowed. This is because, although they did not understand with their minds what he taught, they understood it with their hearts. They felt something beyond their minds, and they loved it. This tells us that loving Jesus counts as understanding him. 
 
* The Evil One never merely comes in and snatches the truth out of someone's heart. He has no such power. What he does have power to do is to offer something in exchange for the truth that has been sown. 
 
* Don't allow the approval of people to become a substitute for the favor of God. It is a trap. 
 
* You may have gotten weak or slack, and the soil of your soul may be dry, but Jesus has an endless supply of fertilizer and water, and he freely gives it to whoever asks. 
 
* When God sends a "strong delusion" upon a person, that person can only believe that lie. 
 
* If you understand the truth today, it is only because God has given you a heart to understand it. There is no other possible reason. And your eternal happiness will be determined by how thankful you are for that gift.

* (From Mt. 10:7, "And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.'"): Neither the disciples who preached that the kingdom of God was near nor the people who heard them preach understood that the kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom (cf. Rom. 14:17). 
 
* Whenever in our life god presents us with something else that is of Him, He has brought us to a crossroads. Be prepared. 
 
* (From Mt. 10:11-13): When your peace "returns to you", it is an awful feeling. 
 
* Preacher Clark (George C. Clark, Sr.) told us once, speaking of the little flock he was pastoring, "There will be a hot place in hell for anyone who goes there from here." 
 
* Many of Jesus' instructions to his disciples were a prophecy of things that would come to pass after the Spirit was sent (e.g. Mt. 10:16-22). 
 
* Pastor John (from Mt. 10:24-25): The best I can hope to do for you all (Pastor John's congregation) is to bring you to the place where you have the same questions that I have. I cannot take you any farther than I have gone. I cannot feed you with more knowledge than I have been given. 
 
* (From Mt. 10:25): Nobody at that time knew that Satan was wicked, much less that he was the chief of evil spirits. If men had known that Satan was the ruler of demons, they would have accused Jesus of being Satan, not Beelzebul. 
 
* (From Mt. 10:27-38): A final, important warning... 
Before sending them out, Jesus prepared his disciples for their hardest test - and ours. "What I say to you in the dark, speak in the lighht, and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops!" That is, wherever you are and whoever is there. 
 
That "the hairs of your head are all numbered" does not mean that God sent an angel to you bed at night to count the hairs of your head after you fell asleep; it means He determined beforehand how many hairs you would have on your head, and He numbered them to you. Jesus' point is that if Good loves you so much that He pays attention to the smallest details of even the things around you, and if He even decided before you were born how many hairs were to be on your head, then He is certainly in control of the weightier matters of your life - and it is all for your good! 
 
Hold on to the fundamental, unshakable truths of the gospel, regardless of who does not believe them. 
 
there is on Lord, Jesus Christ, to start with, and only by faith in him will anyone escape damnation. 
 
And this: Jesus said, "If you do not repent, you will perish" (Lk. 13:3, 5), and Peter said, "If you do repent, you will receive the holy Ghost" (Acts 2:38). 
 
And Paul said, "If an man have not the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to him [have not repented]" (Rom. 8:14). 
 
And, "By one Spirit are we all baptized into one body" (1Corinthians 12:13). 
 
And, "He who endures to the end, the same shall be saved" (Mt. 24:13). 
 
Jesus wept and begged his Father to find some other way to save us. But Good would not. So, Jesus was content to do hi Father's will and surrender to the cross. 
 
Jesus' cross was a real one, and wicked men had him nailed to it. That was God's will for him. Our cross is whatever the will of God is for us. 
 
May god help us all to bear our cross, whatever it may be, as humbly and courageously as Jesus bore his, for "The world is passing away, and its lust, but he who does the will of God abides forever" (1Jn. 2:17).
