We always like to thank you for your letters, your financial help, and most of all for your prayers. We realize that the Lord is using us in a tremendous way. We’re living in a day when a lot of people think that, “Christianity is for the women.” But I think that we are unique that we reach so many men in our ministry. All my classes here in Oklahoma are over half men, and when we have seminars around the country, it’s always over half men, and that’s as it should be. It’s the men who need to be men, I tell you what, living the Christian life is not for the weak. It takes real men to walk it as Paul of course is evidence. Now I think we’re ready to move on into Philippians chapter 4. There is a possibility that we’ll finish this Book in this lesson, and be ready for Colossians next month. 
 
Philippians 4:1 
 
“Therefore, (because of the Lord’s coming as Paul has been talking about. It’s at hand, and could happen at any time.) my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.” 
 
Now never forget, where is Paul when he writes this? Well, in prison right next to Nero’s palace, and is chained to a Roman guard constantly. Many of whom I’m sure were probably some of the most furious warriors of the Roman army. Probably some of them had carried out the capital punishment. Wouldn’t it be bazaar if one of those fellows who had been commissioned to lop off the head of Nero’s wife, had actually become a convert of Paul? That wouldn’t surprise me a bit, because some of the most ruthless men in the Roman army were chained to Paul as a guard. 
 
And he was such a powerful witness that I’m sure that by the time many of them left their tour of duty, they were believers. You say, “Well where do you get that?” Well look what it says in Titus chapter 2:11 You know I try to encourage people, when you read a verse, don’t just read it but contemplate it. Just stop and think and let the Spirit lead our thoughts, “How could something like this happen?” Well look at the verse, and always remember that it takes the Grace of God to bring a person, and especially people like these Roman guards to a knowledge of salvation. 
 
Titus 2:11 
 
“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.” 
 
Now of course the “all men” of Paul’s day would have been the then known world or the Roman Empire. But nevertheless Paul’s gospel had already permeated the Roman Empire from the west to the east. How else could it have happened except that these Roman soldiers in their revolving tour of duty would go to one end of the empire to the other. And as a result they became emissaries, and following in the foot steps of the apostle Paul by taking the Gospel of Grace everywhere they went. My what greater evangelist than a saved hardened Roman warrior. Have you ever thought of that? We’re going to see as we close the letter of Philippians that Paul mentions the very believers in the household of Nero. Now verse 2. 
 
Philippians 4:2 
 
“I beseech (or I beg) Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.” 
 
Now these are two ladies that evidently had some differences of opinion in the Philippian congregation, but they were active. A lot of people think that Paul was anti-feminist, and always putting women down. No he wasn’t! And here he is encouraging these two ladies that he knows that are active in the Philippian Church that they solve their individual differences so that they could be of the same mind in the Lord. Now along that same line when people tell me that Paul hated women, I tell you he couldn’t have because he let so many help him in the ministry. So come back to Romans chapter 16 and let’s take a look at some women who helped Paul, and these are not the only ones. You can also defend the apostle by directing that kind of people who are of that mind set to these verse.

Now let’s go back to the Book of Philippians for just a little bit. We’re going to be jumping around again in this lesson, but we’ll start with verse 21 of chapter 3. Did I spend the whole half hour in verse 20? I didn’t intend to do that, as I thought sure I’d finish the whole Book of Philippians today, and we may yet be able to do that. Now verse 21 is another loaded verse that has so much in it that you have to use so much to enhance what the apostle is talking about. At the end of verse 20 we’re looking for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ to come for us. 
 
Philippians 3:21 
 
“Who shall change our vile body, (this old body of corruption) that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.” 
 
In other words, He’s going to be able to take this body and make something of it. Now that’s a real hope isn’t it? Now let’s just look at a few verses that enhance that concept, so come back to I Corinthians chapter 15. When I teach the Rapture of the Church I always try to use I Corinthians 15:51-58 along with I Thessalonians 4:13-18, but here we just want you to see what Paul was talking about in Philippians when he says, “That when the Lord comes he will change our vile body, this body of sin and disease into a new body.” 
 
I Corinthians 15:51a 
 
“Behold I shew you a mystery; (a secret that had never been revealed before. This secret had been kept in the mind of God until He reveals it to this apostle.) We shall not all sleep…” 
 
We’re not all going to die. There’s going to be a group of believers living who will not go through death. I think Enoch in the Book of Genesis chapter 5 is probably a pretty good illustration of that in the Old Testament. Enoch walked with God just before the judgment of the flood, but we find that he was translated, and escaped that judgment. So I tie that in with the Rapture of the Church. We’ll be here one moment and be gone in a split second and shortly after that the horrors of the Tribulation will fall. So Paul here is showing us a secret. Something that has never been revealed before. The Lord Jesus never mentions this during His earthly ministry. Peter knew nothing of it, but this is a revelation that was given only to this apostle in this Age of Grace. So we remember we shall not die. 
 
I Corinthians 15:51b 
 
“…but we shall all be changed.” 
 
Regardless whether the believer has died or is alive at the Rapture we’re all going to be changed. We’re going to have a body fashioned after Christ’s resurrected body, and we’ll look at a few of those verses in a moment. Now verse 52. For those of us who are alive and remain this body change won’t take long to accomplish. 
 
I Corinthians 15:52a 
 
“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:” 
 
Now trump here is singular and I’ve started to emphasize that because I’ve had several that have tried to drum the trumpets of Revelation down my throat as being the call of the Church. Well there’s no correlation or anything that even comes close to fitting this trumpet of God that Paul speaks of and the trumpets in Revelation. Number one, this is the trumpet of God, it’s singular. Revelation has seven trumpets that are given to seven angels, not to announce His coming and the resurrection, but rather they’re to announce plagues, and the wrath of God. So I can’t see any correlation whatsoever. This is the trumpet of God and it shall sound. Now finishing verse 52. 
 
I Corinthians 15:52b 
 
“…for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead (the dead in Christ. Only for the Church Age. Not the Old Testament believer, as they’ll have their own resurrection, but the Church Age believers) shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” 
 
So we’re all going to be raised incorruptible, and have the same kind of body that Christ has. Every Church Age believer, whether we’re weak, carnal, or spiritual, whether we’ve accomplished a lot, little or nothing. We’re all going to be changed. And now verse 53, and here’s the reason. 
 
I Corinthians 15:53-54a 
 
“For this corruptible (this body of flesh) must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54. So when this corruptible, (this body that is prone to go back to the dust of the earth) shall have put on incorruption,…” 
 
Do you know what that means? That body is going to last for eternity! Now I was reading again the other night that astronomers are finding more and more with the explosion of technology, and even though I don’t agree with their timing yet it certainly sets my mind spinning.

Now coming out of verse 11 in the last lesson, Paul’s whole hope of everything is that out resurrection from among the dead. It’s amazing how that Paul’s tenure of speech has changed. In his early letters, he was expecting the Lord to come in his lifetime, he really was. In fact a lot of people accuse him of being against marriage and so forth back in I Corinthians chapter 7. Well it’s wasn’t that Paul was against marriage per say, but rather he thought the Lord was in such close proximity of coming, then why cumber it up with marriage responsibilities and so forth. Well I’m about getting to that place today myself. (as the audience laugh) Les says, now that’s got nothing to do with Iris. I’m talking about entering into marriage. Our television audience will love that one won’t they? 
 
But anyway this was where Paul was looking, he just thought the Lord was coming any moment, but you see now by the time he writes Philippians and death is just around the corner, he doesn’t feel that way. So now he realizes that he will more than likely go through the valley of death, and will be waiting for that out resurrection from among the dead. Now verse 12. 
 
Philippians 3:12a 
 
“Not as though I had already attained, (in other words, you don’t immediately arrive) either were already perfect…” 
 
The Christian life is not an instantaneous perfection, but rather we grow in Grace and knowledge. We begin our Christian life as a baby begins the physical life, and we feed on the milk of the Word, and then as we progress hopefully we get into the deeper things of Scripture and get to the meat of the Word. But it is a growth process from the beginning until the end, so that’s all Paul is saying here. He knew that even the great apostle that he was, he did not suddenly have it all. And of course after you study the writings of Paul and his life, we realize that his early letters of Romans, Corinthians, and Galatians did not have these deeper doctrines that we find in these later epistles. 
 
I feel Paul picked up the deeper things while he was in prison in Caesarea, while most people would think those were wasted years for Paul. But I don’t think they were wasted at all, I think that while he was languishing there in prison waiting to go to Rome, the Holy Spirit unloaded all these truths on him, so that when he gets to that prison experience he’s ready to start unfolding these prison epistles. So looking at verse 12 again, Paul says, “he’s not already perfect.” 
 
Philippians 3:12b 
 
“…but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.” 
 
Now let’s back up a few pages to the Book of Galatians chapter 1, and here is what I think Paul is making reference to in Philippians. In verse 14 we find that Paul was that religious Pharisees, keeping the tradition of the forefathers. 
 
Galatians 1:15 
 
“But when it pleased God, (the Sovereign God who’s in control of every life) who separated me from my mother’s womb, (so God put the finger on Paul before he was ever born.) and called me by his grace.” 
 
Saul of Tarsus didn’t deserve what he got. Saul of Tarsus didn’t deserve the preeminent apostleship that he was given, but it’s all of Grace. I was so thrilled last Sunday at our Church. We had a guest preacher and he used the Book of Philippians for his text, and as he opened his sermon, he said, “never forget that the one greatest man that ever lived other than Christ Himself was the apostle Paul.” When he said that I almost stood up and shouted. I know not many people feel that way about Paul, but he is by far the greatest man that ever lived. Moses was great, and Abraham but I don’t think any of them can hold a candle to this man. And how he suffered for the sake of the Gospel, but it all begin when the Lord had His finger on him even while he was still in the womb. Then verse 16 is what he was apprehended for. 
Galatians 1:16-17 
 
“To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; (or Gentile or the non-Jewish world) immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood; 17. Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, (the exact opposite direction from Jerusalem) and returned again unto Damascus.” 
 
What does this all show us? That here was a man now that wasn’t going to be the apostle of Israel as the twelve were, but he’s going to be the apostle of the Gentile world. And that’s why I’m always hammering away at the authority of his apostleship. Let’s go back a little further to Acts chapter 9, and this will be another reference of how he was apprehended by Christ Himself. He was stopped in his tracks because God had something special for the man to accomplish.

That’s the joy, hope and security of every believer that we can know Him. He’s not just some strange God way out there some place, but rather we know Him. When I read this verse I think of a little antidote that I read years and years ago and I’m sure most of you have also heard it or read it of the young lady who was attending a university, and while there someone gave her a book to read, and she tried several times to get interested in it and never could. She would read the first chapter or two and put it back on the shelf, and finally forgot about the book. But by the time she was a senior at the university she had fallen in love with one of her professors, and it turned out he was the author of this book she could never get interested in. Then all of a sudden she couldn’t devour the book fast enough and her roommate who had been with her all through school said, "Well what in the world? I thought that was the book you could never get interested in?" She said, "it is." Her room mate said, "well why are you interested in it now?" "Because" the young lady said "I’ve fallen in love with the author!."Well you see that’s the secret, when you in fall in love with Christ you cannot exhaust this Book. You’ll just keep seeing new things pop up all the time, and you think, now why didn’t I see this before? Well it’s just like God told Israel when they could have gone into the land of milk and honey. He said, "I won’t drive them all out at once, I’ll drive the Canaanites out just fast enough that you can absorb and you can take over the land. Well that’s the way He does us with the Scriptures. See, He doesn’t unload it all on us at once. Even right now I could go for another 1/2 hour showing you verses that I never saw until maybe the last year or so, and I know there’s going to be more verses coming. So anyway we get to the place where we know Him, He’s personal, He’s close to us, He knows all about us. And of course when we come into that relationship with Christ, we’re also going to suffer with Him.Now again as I’ve said so often, we in America know very little of suffering for our faith. Now it could happen yet, we hope it won’t, but it could. Remember though that through about 90% of Christendom’s history, believers suffered for their faith. They were persecuted, they were driven out from valley to valley. Their homes and villages were just utterly uprooted and destroyed simply because they were Christians. Another verse comes to mind on this subject, come back if you will to Romans chapter 8. We were just talking about it at break time. "What’s going to be our lot for eternity?" Well the Bible doesn’t tell us an awful lot about that. About the only super verse that we have on the subject is found in I Corinthians 2:9. 
"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." And that’s about as much as we’ve got. We know there’s a glorious situation that’s coming, but just how we’re going to function, and what we’re going to do is pretty much hidden from us, but this verse gives us a little hint that He’s got good things prepared for us. Now in Romans chapter 8 let’s begin with verse 14Romans 8:14-17b"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons (or the children) of God. 15. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; (we don’t live under constant fear that we’re breaking God’s laws) but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. (that relationship again, do you see that? We’re in Christ, He’s dear to us and we’re dear to Him.) 16. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: (now here it comes) 17. And if children, then heirs, heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;..." 
Now that’s as far as we can go with it, but it’s going to be something! Everything that God has prepared or is preparing for eternity that’s His is also going to be ours. That’s what joint-heirship is all about, and in this case beyond human understanding. That’s part again of the unsearchable riches of Christ. Now continuing on in the verse.Romans 8:17b"...if so be that we suffer with him, (a lot of people want to take the good stuff, but don’t want the bad. Well you see it all goes in the same program. We may have some suffering to do. But if we suffer with Him) that we may be also glorified together."

Genesis 4:1 – 5:24 
Ok let’s pick up where we left off in the last lesson, and that would be in Romans chapter 3 and verse 24. We want to have a little more discussion on that word "Redemption," and/or "Redeemer." So now let’s look at that verse again. 
 
Romans 3:24 
 
"Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:" 
 
In other words there is a way whereby God will purchase back that which He lost, back there in the Garden of Eden. You want to remember that when Adam and Eve were in the Garden they belonged to God, and they were in perfect fellowship with Him weren’t they? But when sinned entered, that fellowship was broken and God lost control of them because they had come under control of the god of this world, old Satan. So immediately God institutes a way whereby He can buy the human race back to Himself, and we call that redemption. 
 
And you’ll find that all the way through the Old Testament when God purchased Israel out of the slavery of Egypt, and that is also a beautiful picture of our own salvation. We too as sons of Adam were slaves of sin; we’re in the slave market of Satan. I guess you could say that God’s hands are tied because He has given us that free will. Now God will do everything He can to bring us out of that slave market, but first we have to want to. See, God cannot force you and I out of that market. Remember when we were created, we were created with a mind and will, as well as a set of emotions. And when God extends his love toward us, then He can rightfully expect us to love Him in return. But we don’t have to love God in return, we don’t have to do anything, but He’s made it all possible. 
 
Now Paul here in this word redemption actually goes into a physical, literal setting, and he uses a word that was so common in the days of the Roman Empire and the slave market. If you know anything about ancient history, slavery was just part and parcel of everyday living. These Roman Legions would make their journeys up into Europe, and wherever they went conquering, they would always bring back slaves. This is also what finally made the Roman Empire so corrupt, because the Roman citizens didn’t have to work. These slaves that were constantly being brought in did all the manual work, and for little or no wages, it was slavery to the utmost. Of course that gave rise then to softening of the Roman physique and they finally fell apart, and then they were conquered. 
 
So let’s talk about this slave market that the Romans had. I like to picture some young teenagers that had been taken prisoners maybe up in France, or Germany or some other country, and they bring them back to Rome. They are put into the slave market for people to purchase. The end result for those not bought, are to be made sport of by the lions in the coliseums, I’m sure you remember that from Roman history. 
 
So far as a person coming into the slave market, if someone didn’t come along and buy them out, the end was death! They didn’t have much to look forward to, but let’s take for example an attractive brother and sister, maybe they were both captured at the same time, and the Roman legion brings these kids back to Rome. Let’s say they are in the prime of life, 18 or 19 years old, they’re lovely kids, but they’re now slaves. So they’re in this slave market with nothing to look forward to except death in the coliseum. 
 
But along comes a benevolent Roman, who is well to do. Now in the Roman slave market language there were three different words, and it doesn’t hurt to remember them. The first word was "agerozo" The second word was, "exagerozo" and then the third word was "Lutroo." Now those were the Greek words that were constantly in use in that Roman slave market. I’m not up much on the stock market, but I know they too have their own language. I know you can sell short and buy long, and take options, and so forth. Any way they have their own language, but so did the Roman slave market. 
 
Now if they wanted to "agerozo" someone who is in this slave market, it was sort of like the stock traders do today. They’ll buy stock in the morning and maybe it goes up 2 or 3 points in the afternoon and they sell if for the profit. . In other words they have no real intention of hanging on to that stock, they’re just playing the market. Well they could do the same thing back in Rome with slaves. They could buy a slave at 8 o’clock in the morning and could leave that slave in the market, hoping that maybe later in the day the market would go up and they could resell the slave and take a profit. It was kind of a sport to these traders.

Okay, now then, back to the things at hand - Isaiah 65 verse 1. 
2. I have spread out my hands all the day unto a (What kind of people?) rebellious people," Now, this is Israel! They’ve had the Word. They’ve had the prophets. They’ve had the temple. Isaiah 65:2 
Samuel was the last of the judges, but this last verse just typifies ancient Israel almost from day one. Judges 21:25 
Okay, back to Isaiah because I want you to see that God has mercifully put up with the human race from day one because Israel was, you know, the covenant people. They should have been a people of obedience. Isaiah 65:3 
Idol worship. They didn’t even build altars the way God instructed them to build altars, because when Israel was taught how to build an altar, they didn’t use brick, they used what? Hewn stone. Isaiah 65:4 
Isaiah 65:5a 
Isaiah 65:5b 
"These are a smoke in my nose, (Not the smoke of incense, as God appreciated in the temple worship. Isaiah 65:6-7 
Now verse 8, this is an interesting little verse. 
Isaiah 65:8a 
Well, the ones that weren’t producing - the dead ones. One cluster of grapes. Don’t destroy that good little cluster of grapes. Isaiah 65:8b 
Don’t destroy the vine. Isaiah 65:9-10a 
elect (The remnant again. (Now, we come to the promises of this coming Kingdom.) 10. And Sharon…" Isaiah 65:10a 
"And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, (In other words, Sharon is going to revert back to that beautiful productive valley of grass and water for the flocks of Israel.) and the valley of Achor..." Well, you remember Achan? The Valley of Achor became a curse to Israel. Isaiah 65:10b 
Isaiah 65:11-12a 
"But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink-offering unto that number. Isaiah 65:13-15a 
"Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servant shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty, behold my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed: 14. 15. And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall (What?) slay thee,…" All right, now then, let’s drop quickly down into verse 17. 
Isaiah 65:17 
"For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former (That is the old earth.) I personally feel he’s talking about the renovated earth for the millennial reign. Now, you’ve got to remember the thousand-year reign of Christ is the Kingdom economy, in which Christ will rule and reign from Jerusalem. Now remember, it’s going to be heaven on earth because Satan has been locked up. Revelation 20:7-9 
Now, you come into chapter 21 and John prophetically sees a new heaven and a new earth. I don’t think it’s the new heaven and new earth that Isaiah’s referring to. Revelation 21:1a 
"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were (What?) It’s going to be an earth of tremendous production. Isaiah 65:19-20a 
Isaiah 65:20b 
All right, verse 21, it’s going to be a Kingdom of tremendous activity. 
Isaiah 65:21-22a 
Which was Israel’s history. Isaiah 65:22b 
Isaiah 65:23-24 
(Now, the next verse is a perfect parallel with John’s gospel chapter 14.) Now, I think I’ve got time. John 14 verse 13. Now, this will all become a reality in this Kingdom economy, when Christ is ruling and Satan is locked up. The Lord is speaking, and He says:

Okay, back to Isaiah, quickly now, the last verse in chapter 65, and this is a perfect parallel for Isaiah chapter 11.

All right, now let’s go into the final chapter of Isaiah, and remember that Isaiah is 66 chapters long and our Bible is 66 books. Isaiah 66:1 
"Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: (Now, what is that a significance of ? The earth is just His footstool. It’s just a little marble out of all of God’s creation. where is the house that ye build unto me? Isaiah 66:5a 
"Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you,…" The little remnant has been hated by the majority. Isaiah 66:5b 
Now, that reminds me of a verse in Peter. I Peter 2:6 
Disappointed. 
Now, when will the mass of the so-called religious people be disappointed? Isaiah 66:7 
Israel. What’s the man-child? Christ’s birth at Bethlehem. 
Isaiah 66:8 
Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? The moment Christ returns they’re going to come into the glory of that promised Kingdom. 
saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth and shut the womb? saith thy God. 10. Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her,…" Isaiah 66:15-16 
16. For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many." Now, we’ll close with verse 18.

Samuel was the last of the judges, but this last verse just typifies ancient Israel almost from day one. Judges 21:25
Okay, back to Isaiah because I want you to see that God has mercifully put up with the human race from day one because Israel was, you know, the covenant people. They should have been a people of obedience. Isaiah 65:3
Idol worship. They didn’t even build altars the way God instructed them to build altars, because when Israel was taught how to build an altar, they didn’t use brick, they used what? Hewn stone. Isaiah 65:4

In our last lesson we got through Isaiah 64 verse 1. Then we get into chapter 65; we’re going to see Jehovah, or the LORD, respond to the prayer of the remnant. All right, but Isaiah 64 verse 1, we’re still in the words of the remnant. 
God will have to do that if He’s the righteous God that He claims to be. Nothing is going to escape God’s wrath. 
Even as Israel knew it was going to come on all except the remnant.

All right, back to Isaiah 64 and the remnant is still pleading to God when He comes and raises his wrath and vexation against the unbelieving world, all right, verse 3. 
Isaiah 64:3-4 
"When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence. If I don’t finish Isaiah today, why we’ll do it later. 
I Corinthians 2:6-8 
"Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: (or spiritually mature) yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, (or a revelation of secrets) even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our (or I think the apostle could have written, ‘my’) glory. I Corinthians 2:9 
Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that (what?) love him." Glorious! We cannot begin to comprehend the glory that is awaiting the true child of God. 
I Corinthians 2:10-12 
"But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. The Scripture limits us to the fact that the eternal state is glorious. I remember a couple of years ago, she said, "Daddy, do you suppose it’s possible the Lord will give me a horse barn a half a mile long? I hope that there will be animals in glory, because I love animals. Wait for him. Now you know, the first time I caught that verse years ago, I thought, well, now what in the world? Because, after all, if you’re a believer God’s got things for you to do. Don’t get so busy doing the Lord’s work that you haven’t got time to contemplate – What’s the next big event on God’s calendar? The return of Christ! Well, all right, I Thessalonians chapter 1 and I’m going to start at verse 8 in this series because Paul is commending these Thessalonian believers, fresh out of paganism, remember, they’ve been idol worshippers. They’ve been moon-god worshippers. They’ve been the mythological gods and goddesses worshippers. There they are – trophies of God’s Grace! Verse 8: 
I Thessalonians 1:8 
"For from you (the Thessalonian believers) sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia (Northern Greece) and Achaia (which was Southern Greece) but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing." In other words, Paul didn’t have to tell people about these Thessalonian believers. I Thessalonians 1:9 
I Thessalonians 1:10 
Waiting for this great event. What was the remnant of Israel doing? Waiting for that great event. Okay, back to Isaiah 64. All right, verse 5, now this is a verse we took off from in one of our last programs, in our last taping, and I jumped up to the New Testament because of all the language here that prepared this remnant for their salvation. All right, verse 5: 
Isaiah 64:5 
"Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways; behold, thou art wroth; (Now remember, the Tribulation is raging all around them. God is supernaturally protecting them out in that wilderness.) Anyway, where it says, "that all Israel shall be saved." Romans 11:26 
Zechariah 13:8-9 
All right, so this is the conclusion you have to come to when Paul says, "yet all Israel shall be saved." The Old Testament says it’ll only be a remnant. Only the remnant is the "all Israel" of Romans 11:26, simply to indicate that in that remnant there are members of every tribe. No tribe will be left out in that remnant. 
So it will, for that time, be the "all Israel." When it says all Israel shall be saved, it doesn’t mean the fifteen million Jews on the planet today. Back to Isaiah 64, and verse 6, this is why we know this is the believing remnant, because they recognize their need. What about the rest of Israel? Isaiah 64:6a 
All right, reading on. 
That first step for salvation is to recognize that we are nothing in God’s sight. Our own righteousness is nothing more than filthy rags.

I think that’s just God’s way of preparing the world’s population for what’s coming. 
2. Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him who treadeth in the winefat?" Now, this is symbolic language of course, but what’s the picture? I’m sure that that’s involved here, but what we’ve really got is a symbolic picture of Christ as He’s ready to return and finalize the wrath and vexation. 
Come back to Psalms chapter 2 verse 5. Be able to show people, hey, this is what’s coming! Today we’re not in the wrath and vexation. We’re in the Grace of God. God is permitting these things, but his Grace is still abundant. "Then (in other words at that point in time) shall he (God) speak unto them (Who? The population of the world) in his wrath, (Not mercy, not love, not Grace, that has ended. In His wrath and vexation He’s going to pour out torment and death and destruction and misery like the world has never known. 
Again, like I said in the last program, "is God being unfair?" NO! He’s given the human race 2000 years of Grace. All of these people that will be involved in these final years of judgment will have lived during all this time of preaching and proclaiming the Gospel of the Grace of God and have walked it underfoot. Verse 2: 
Paul Bunyan. What’s the legend of Paul Bunyan? This humongous woodsman who stepped from place to place across Minnesota and every place he stepped was left a what? It is death and destruction, His wrath! Consequently, in verse 2, what has happened to His apparel? Now, we don’t like to think in terms of that with God, but this isn’t the God that we’re dealing with today. God today is the God of love, mercy, and Grace, absolutely! But when this day comes, it’s going to be the God of wrath and judgment. Jesus, in His earthly ministry, warned Israel of it. Paul speaks of it in just one place. This terrible time is coming, Beloved! 
This wrath is going to be poured out from God and God alone.) There is nothing with reference to God’s Word. When you look at the world in general, spiritually and morally speaking, we Americans are still head and shoulders above the rest of the world. It’s the prostitution capital of the world. Then reading on, let’s finish verse 3. 
Now, this is the coming Christ alone who is pouring out wrath and judgment. 
the Son of man," (The word Son is capitalized. It’s Christ.) To harvest. 
Revelation 14:15 
It is ripe for judgment. 
Why does God pour out such horrible judgment on one generation of people? I think I read one time that at the time of Christ the total population was only like 500,000,000. 
Revelation 14:17-18 
Well, the grape juice or the wine. Revelation 14:19 
"And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress, of the wrath of God." What was a wine vat? The valleys, especially of Israel. The Valley of Megiddo. The Valley of Sharon. The Jericho Valley. Little Israel is divided into all these separate valleys. Why pack all your troops into those valleys? Christ at His Second Coming. 
The hundred pound hail stones! Now, I do take the liberty here, the Bible doesn’t explicitly say this, but I feel that once these armies of the world are packed into the valleys of Israel, the hundred pound hail stones will be God’s treader of the grapes. All right, read on. You’ll get the picture. Verse 20: 
Revelation 14:20a 
You’ve got the Hula Valley up north of Galilee. I’ve already mentioned the Valley of Sharon along the Mediterranean Sea. You’ve got the Jordan Valley coming down from Galilee to the Dead Sea - all those valleys, packed full of the world’s troops.

"And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, (Not grape juice, blood. So, who are the grapes? Yeah, chapter 16 verse 21. If God is putting His wrath upon a grape vat, then that means it has to be within an enclosure. What better way to picture an enclosure than a valley? Revelation 16:21a 
"And there fell upon men (not grapes) a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent:…" Hundred pound hail stones. All right, one hundred pound hailstones will fall upon these multitudes of men gathered, now, in the valley of Israel, but does it change their thinking? Revelation 16:21b 
"…and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great." Is it a great revival? Revelation 9:21 
All right, I think I’ve got time to show this. Now, come back with me to chapter 7 and verse 9. In the midst of all of this wrath and outpouring, God’s 144,000 Jews are going to be proclaiming salvation. Revelation 7:9-10 
Now, that may be a great number. If I haven’t made any other point today, I hope I make this – don’t blame God.

We like to teach verse by verse, most of the time comparing Scripture with Scripture. Isaiah, 61:6a 
the Priests of the LORD:…" Priests. Israel has just come out of Egypt. Moses has now gone up unto God. 
Exodus 19:3-4 
"And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, thus shall you tell the children of Israel; (Now, here it comes.) Exodus 19:5 
If Israel will be obedient to that.) then ye shall be a peculiar treasure (something of intrinsic value) unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:" God is Sovereign. Now verse 6: 
Israel is to be looking forward to a Kingdom in which every Jew would be a priest, or a go-between, between their God and the non-Jewish world. 
Now, most people miss that, but that was Israel’s prospect. Wash! Not just Levi, but the whole nation was to become a kingdom of priests and a holy or set apart nation, just like Levi was in the nation of Israel. All right, now, if we can come back to Isaiah 61 verse 6 again. Reading on in verse 6. 
Isaiah 61:6b 
Ministers of our God: (That’s the role of every Jew when they come into this glorious Kingdom.) ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory ye shall boast yourselves." Now, has Israel ever been able to do that? Never! Never! All right, good idea. 
This bottom timeline is how the top timeline actually unfolded. You see, all the way through the four gospels, as we’ve been showing all afternoon, God is dealing only with the nation of Israel. A nation-changing event takes place. All right, Acts, chapter 7 verse 51. Stephen is addressing the religious leaders of Israel. 
All right, now chapter 8 verse 1. 
Acts 8:1 
"And Saul was consenting unto his (Stephen’s) death. Now, as a result of Israel rejecting and rejecting and rejecting everything connected to these Old Testament promises, God’s going to do something totally, totally different. On the other end of the fork in the road is God turning to the Gentile world without Israel. Israel is not going to be a go-between. Israel is not going to have the role of Priests of Jehovah to bring in the Gentiles. But God’s plan for the Gentiles will be accomplished through the teaching of one man, the Apostle Paul. 
Acts 9:15 
Gentiles,…" A Jew going to Gentiles? 
After the nation of Israel kept rejecting, God turned to the Gentiles with Paul, and as a result has now pushed the seven years of Tribulation and the 1000-year kingdom out into the future by nearly 2000 years. 
It will not mix with Israel. Anybody that tries to teach the Church in the Tribulation will not look at the aspect that Paul never implies that the Body of Christ has anything to do with Israel’s prophetic program. Okay, Isaiah 61 where we just left off that Israel is to be a nation of priests in verse 6, and they’re going to enjoy all of the good things of the Gentile world, now verse 7. 
Isaiah 61:7-8a 
8. For I the LORD love judgment,…" Isaiah 61:8b 
Jeremiah 31:31. This has never happened to Israel, but it’s going to. This covenant is not for the Church Age. Jeremiah 31:31a 
God has said it. Now, when you look at Israel tonight, you’d say this will never, never happen. Jeremiah 31:31a 
"Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel,…" Now, we enjoy all the things that God has done to make this covenant possible, of course, but we’re not a covenant people. 
"…that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32. Jeremiah 31:33a 
Jeremiah 31:33 
My, what a relationship Israel is finally going to have with their Creator God. 
Jeremiah 31:34a 
Israel is finally going to come to the place where God will not have one iota of fault against them. All right, now then, verse 35. If these people think that God is all through with Israel, then, you see, they have to throw these verses away. Jeremiah 31:35 
Jeremiah 31:36 
There are no great catastrophic events, because, after all, God is all through with Israel. Isaiah 61:9a 
Men and women having children, having families. But, Israel will be the apple of God’s eye. Isaiah 61:9 
Isaiah 61:10 
Now, what’s Isaiah doing? Isaiah is giving a picture of his own spiritual relationship with his Creator God, which every Jew in the Kingdom economy will enjoy. His personal testimony is a picture of Israel’s future. 
They’ve sinned. They’ve been separated in their fellowship with God. All right, now remember, they’re naked, and they’ve been wearing nothing but fig leaves, which God had nothing to do with. "Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins,…" Romans 3 says that the moment we believe The Gospel of Salvation found in I Corinthians 15:1-4, what does God do?God clothes us with His righteousness!

To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,…" That’s where he stopped in Luke chapter 4 - right in the middle of the verse. Of course, we pointed that out specifically when we taught the little Jewish epistles of James and Peter and John. There’s not a word in those epistles of a long 2000-year period of time until Christ would return. All right, now in our last half-hour program, we were in Joel chapter 2. Then verses 30, 31, and 32 are still future. All right, look at the graphic difference in verse 30. 
30. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke." All right, now let’s jump all the way up to Zechariah, again, where we were a little bit ago, but now in chapter 9. Zechariah is a tremendous book of prophecy. 
Jews. shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy (What?) King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly,…" Or humble. There weren’t any of the elite of Israel living in Nazareth. All right, read on into verse 10. Zechariah 9:10 
Then the rest of the verse, what’s next?) Clearly Zechariah prophesies concerning His first advent, but he ties it right to the Tribulation and the Kingdom that would follow. All right, let’s jump into the New Testament, and let’s jump all the way up to Luke chapter 1. All right, Luke chapter 1 and we’ll drop in at verse 64. You remember the backdrop. Look in verse 63. Now, in verse 64 this priest, Zacharias, the father of John the Baptist: 
67. And his father (this priest) Zacharias was (what?) filled with the Holy Spirit,…" 
68. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, 69. Well, who are Israel’s enemies? 
"To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; (What covenant?) Christ had now been crucified. Christ would return, and they could have the Kingdom. 
So, in Acts chapter 2 starting in verse 16, here is where Peter reveals the Old Testament program again. But he didn’t have the wherewithal that Jesus had to stop in the right place. 
What’s Peter saying? You have seen Joel’s prophecy fulfilled on this day of Pentecost.) You can tell that or Peter would have stopped after verse 18 that we just read. 
I Peter is the little epistle written probably about the same time that Paul is writing his church epistles. I Peter 1:1 
"Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia." All right, now verse 10, and this just says it all. 
All those Old Testament prophets, trying to put this thing together. 
The Holy Spirit was revealing in a veiled way all through the Old Testament.) All the Old Testament had been talking about the suffering Messiah. 
God veiled it for His own purposes. 
The prophecy of what will follow after the Tribulation has run its course and Christ will return and bring in this glorious earthly Kingdom, promised all the way up through the prophets. All right, back to Isaiah 61 and jump in again at verse 3. 
"To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes,…" What’s the picture? Turn to Jeremiah chapter 25 verse 30. What is the uppermost thought in the nations of the world today? Weapons of mass destruction. All the weapons of mass destruction are going to be used, but in God’s time. All right, here are the ashes. 
"Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The LORD (Jehovah, Israel’s God) shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; (Second Coming. 
Nuclear bombs exploding completely around the planet. Now, you talk about a domino effect. As soon as somebody drops a nuclear bomb on one place, somebody else is going to retaliate. All right, but this is the Old Testament’s view. 
"…for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, (Plural) he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD. Tremendous wind. 
Remember when they dropped the little atomic bombs in Japan? 
"And the slain of the LORD…" Why? Because He is pouring out His wrath on Christ rejecting mankind. All right, come back with me to Isaiah 61. After God’s wrath and judgment and total destruction will come His beautiful, glorious, earthly Kingdom. All right, verse 3 again: 
"…to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, (Now, you know Scripture refers to trees as something beautiful in God’s creation.) the planting of the LORD, that he (the Lord) might be glorified. Israel has always been the downtrodden people of human history. Israel will be the apple of God’s eye. Israel is going to be the most blessed of any of the nations on earth. 
What did Moses prophesy?

"And the Gentiles (the non-Jewish world) shall come to thy light,…" Whose light? Israel’s. Isaiah 60:3 
"And the Gentiles shall come to thy (Israel’s) light (their Messiah, their Redeemer.) and kings to the brightness of thy rising." Now verse 4, here is the instruction for the nation of Israel. 
thou shalt hearken diligently to the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee (Israel, the nation) on high above all nations of the earth: (See that? That’s God’s promise even through the prophet Moses.) 2. And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God." 
"The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. 13. And the LORD shall make thee the head, (that is of all the nations of the world) and notthe tail; (Which they are now, you remember. All right, back to Isaiah chapter 60. I want you to keep this upper most in your thinking - that the day is coming when Israel will be a blessing to the Gentile nations, and they (Israel) will be the greatest nation on the earth. 
Israel’s population is about 15 million today. There’ll only be a few in every Gentile nation, compared to five million Jews. Israel. Israel will be the greatest nation on earth. 
Isaiah chapter 2 verse 2. Isaiah 2:2a 
Isaiah 2:2b 
Now mountains and hills in Old Testament symbolism are kingdoms and nations, or empires, however you want to put it. 
Isaiah 2:2c 
It’s going to be the headquarters, the capital of the world, because it’ll be the crowning nation to which all the Gentile nations will subscribe. 
All right, now back to Isaiah chapter 60 again. When the Redeemer will come to Zion, and he will be King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Isaiah 60:6 
The nations of the world are going to bring praise to the King of Kings, holding forth there in Jerusalem. 
Isaiah 60:7 
Isaiah 60:8-9a 
Isaiah 60:9b-10 
"…their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, (why?) because he (God) hath glorified thee (the nation of Israel) 10. And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls; and their kings shall minister unto thee: (See the obedience of all of the nations of the world to Israel’s king?) for in my wrath I smote thee, (back in their time of unbelief) but in my favor have I had mercy on thee." That we’ve got two sides of the question - Israel’s unbelief and God’s chastisement, Israel’s obedience and the blessings of God upon them. Isaiah 60:11a 
"Therefore thy gates shall be open continually;…" Isaiah 60:11b-14 
12. For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee will perish; (Well, what does it tell you? yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted. 14. The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel." Isaiah 60:16 
Let’s come back to Luke chapter 1. Luke chapter 1 and we’ll jump in at verse 64. Luke 1:64 
Luke 1:65-67a 
67. And his father (John the Baptist’s father) Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit,…" Remember, the Holy Spirit was operating long before Pentecost. Luke 1:68-71a 
"Blessed be the Lord God of (the world?) Israel; (this is all Jewish) for he hath visited and redeemed his people, (Israel.) That we (the nation of Israel) should be saved from our (sins? enemies,…" That Israel will be spared from all her enemies. The Arab world. The Gentile world. That the nation of Israel would be blessed supremely by the Creator God, but that also out of that nation would come the Redeemer for the whole human race. All right, back to Isaiah chapter 60, and verse 17. 
Isaiah 60:17-18a 
Isaiah 60:18b-19 
"…wasting nor destruction within thy borders; (none of that) but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise. 19. The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory." Matthew 17:1-2 
All right, back to Isaiah chapter 60 and then it’s almost time to wind it up. Verse 20: 
Isaiah 60:20a 
"Thy sun (not the sun out there in solar space, but Israel’s son, the Son of Righteousness, the God of Glory who is now ruling in Jerusalem) shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD (Jesus the Christ) shall be thy everlasting light,…" Isaiah 60:20b 
Unbelief. Isaiah 60:21-22a

We’re in Isaiah chapter 59. Remember, that in spite of all of Israel’s sin, God still puts before them the prospect of glorious things to come, especially that earthly kingdom. This glorious earthly kingdom with Christ Himself as the King will be primarily to fulfill all of the promises made to the nation of Israel. The end result of everything will be this glorious Kingdom over which they will be the primary nation. 
All right, now we’ll leap all the way up in verse 20 to Christ’s first advent. 
Isaiah 59:20 
Mount Zion is in Jerusalem. Never forget that.) and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD." Let’s go again to Romans, chapter 11. It was only a small percentage of Israel that could understand and believe who Jesus of Nazareth really was. Of course, it carries over into Paul’s writings here in Romans 11 as he’s dealing with the nation of Israel. Romans 11:2a 
"God hath not cast away his people (Israel) which he foreknew." Romans 11:2b 
Romans 11:3 
Romans 11:4 
"But what saith the answer of God unto him? Baal was the god in Elijah’s day. Now, look at verse 5, Paul writes: 
Romans 11:5 
Verse 7: 
Israel (the nation) hath not obtained that which he seeketh for;" Well, now what does that mean? Israel was looking for a King and Kingdom, but they didn’t get it because they wouldn’t believe who Jesus was. 
Romans 15 verse 8. Romans 15:8 
"Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision (that’s Israel, and for what purpose?) To proclaim Himself as their King and how He was ready to bring in this glorious Kingdom promised all through the Old Testament. Unbelief. Now, verse 21: 
Isaiah 59:21 
"As for me, this is my covenant with them, (that is believing Israel) saith the LORD; My Spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and forever." Now, when Israel rejected Him at His first coming this won’t become fulfilled until when? At His Second Coming we can expect Israel to come under the fulfillment of what we call the covenant that He makes with Israel. 
Not the old covenant of Law, but the new covenant, which will be ushered in at the advent of the Kingdom. Jeremiah 31:31 
"Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:" Now, that has never been made yet, because Israel rejected everything. Now verse 32. Jeremiah 31:32 
Now, verse 33:

Jeremiah 31:34a 
Isaiah chapter 60 and this, of course, is a reference first and foremost to His first coming and the following Kingdom, if Israel would have accepted it. All right, but now we’re talking about the first advent in verse 1. 
Isaiah 60:1a 
Whose light? Israel’s. And Who is Israel’s light? Isaiah 60:1b-2a 
"…and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. (the Nation of Israel) 2. For, behold, the darkness (spiritual darkness) shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people:"(Israel) Even though they had the temple and the priesthood, yet it was nothing but a manmade ‘works’ religion by the time Christ comes, and they are in a spiritual darkness. "But," that’s not going to stop God. 
Isaiah 60:2b 
Then, if Israel would have been obedient and if they would have recognized who Jesus was, the Tribulation would have gone by, the King would have set up His Kingdom and then Israel could have been what? 
Isaiah 60:3 
"And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising." Here in Matthew 23 verses 37-39, are verses I’m sure you’re all acquainted with. "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem,…" Matthew 23:37 
"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets,…" All right, now then, here’s where I think He gives an indication that Israel is going to reject Him and all the promises are going to fall through the cracks until a later time. So, He says in verse 38: 
Matthew 23:38-39 
Ye shall not see me henceforth, until (So, it’s still coming, but it’s going to be at a later time.) ye shall say, (that is Israel as a Nation) Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord." Drop in with me at chapter 12 and verse 10. This is prophecy and it fits right in with what the Lord said in Matthew 23. God speaking through the prophet says:

All right, now the next one is in chapter 13, verse 6. Israel! Now, come back to Isaiah chapter 60 verse 3. 
Isaiah 60:3a 
"And the Gentiles shall come to thy light,…" Now see, I hope you have gathered, in all of our studies over the years, that God never instructed Israel to evangelize the Gentiles. Never. All right, now if they would have accepted that King and the Kingdom, they could have evangelized the whole world.

All right, let’s go back into chapter 55 where we left off in the last lesson and begin with verse 8, where God says: 
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD." That’s why we can’t outguess God. God has a reason for everything that He permits. Well, God has His reasons. He has His purposes. Now, verse 9: 
Isaiah 55:9 
One old Rabbi was praying one day, and he says, "God, I know we’re your chosen people. Matthew 24:9 
Again, this is the reason - Satan knows they are God’s people. Satan knows that nothing can finalize prophecy if Israel is gone. If Satan can destroy the Jewish people, then God is defeated and He cannot fulfill the prophecies. 
Isaiah 55:10a 
Now, when it comes to purpose, I can’t help but jump up to Paul and to Ephesians where he uses the same words, "the Divine purpose." 
Ephesians 1:11 
"In whom (speaking of Christ) also we (as believers of this age of Grace - you and I today. This is Paul writing to Gentile believers.) Ephesians 1:12 
Ephesians 1:13 
Everything that happens, God has a purpose. Who (God in verse 8) hath (already) saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace,…" You’re a believer tonight because this is part of God’s purpose for this day and time. We’re all members of the Body of Christ, if we’ve believed Paul’s Gospel for salvation, and we are now on the same team. "…which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began." All right, let’s come back to Isaiah chapter 55 and verse 11. 
Isaiah 55:11 
Because it’s God’s purpose. All right, verse 12, for the believer then, even in Israel. Never lose sight of the fact that this is God dealing with Israel. We have to jump up to Paul to find His dealing with us Gentiles, but for Israel it was still the same God. It’s still the same grace of God. All right, verse 12.

I wonder if you’ll catch it as I read it? 
Isaiah 57:1 
"The righteous (the believers) perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: (They don’t care if a believer dies because the world would just as soon be rid of us.) The Rapture. "Merciful men are (what?) I Thessalonians 5:9 
"For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ," 
Romans 5:9b 
What’s the wrath to come? The Tribulation. It’s got to go into the Tribulation and suffer all the things with Israel. We may suffer yet as believers. Only Paul knows anything of the Body of Christ. You cannot find the term the "Body of Christ" anywhere in Scripture, except Paul.He is the only one that had the revelation of this outcalling of believers in this Age of Grace that would come into what we call, the Body of Christ, totally insulated from that prophetic program for Israel. Consequently, it has to be removed before God can finish that prophetic program. All right, let’s start with Romans chapter 16 and verse 25. Romans 16:25 
That Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead.) and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began." That Paul’s Gospel is part of a revelation of things that no other portion of Scripture knows anything about. It has been kept secret in the mind of God all through the Old Testament prophecies. 
All right, how in the world, then, can anybody try to put the Church up into the book of Revelation when God never did? God never did. Insulated from all the prophecies of Israel. 
I Corinthians chapter 15, but now let’s go to the last part of the chapter instead of the first, chapter 15 verse 51. I Corinthians 15:52 
It’s God.) Isaiah said, "that the righteous would be removed before the wrath to follow." Paul had never heard of it before, but it becomes part of his revelation of these things kept secret. 
I Thessalonians 4:13-14 
14. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, (we have salvation, we’ve been brought into the Body of Christ) even so them also which sleep [have died] in Jesus will God bring with him." All right, but they’ve got to have a body. It’s going to be a resurrected body for the dead and new body for those who are alive. 
I Thessalonians 4:15-16a 
Not an angel’s trumpet. Big, big difference. 
I Thessalonians 4:16b 
"…and the dead in Christ shall rise first:" Those believers who have died since Saul’s conversion and who are now going into the Body of Christ, one by one. Turn to II Thessalonians chapter 2 and we might as well start at verse 1. 
II Thessalonians 2:1 
"Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, (that is for the Body, not the Second Coming for prophecy, for Israel, but for the Body) and by our gathering together unto him." 
The anti-Christ. So, the anti-Christ cannot be revealed.

Isaiah 54:1 – 57:1 
We try to compare Scripture with Scripture, and we always try to rightly divide the Word of God as the Apostle Paul tells us to do. Some might say, "Well, how do I rightly divide the Word of God?" Since all the Body of Christ doctrines are given only to Paul for us Gentiles believers, then we feel that the Holy Spirit was telling Paul to separate the Scriptures – Paul’s epistles from the rest of Scripture. Now, if everyone is ready in the studio audience, let’s jump right back into Isaiah chapter 55 verse 6. We’ll pick up where we left off in this great salvation chapter, along with chapter 53. Let’s begin with verse 6: 
"Moreover the law entered, (back under Moses) that the offence (in other words, that men’s sin) might abound." Romans 5:20b 
All right, now let’s just come over to Romans chapter 10, remembering, now, what we just saw in Isaiah, that they were to call upon God while He was available. Let’s jump in at verse 4: 
Romans 10:4 
We’re not under law; we’re under Grace. The law has no more power over us; it’s been crucified with Christ, if we’re a believer. 
Romans 10:5a 
It was prompted by faith, but it was faith plus works. All right, now that’s what Paul is saying. 
Romans 10:8b 
"The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;" Now, here comes Paul’s Gospel of salvation in a little different format. 
Romans 10:9 
"That if thou shalt confess (In other words, admit with our whole being the Lordship of Christ, that He is Lord.) with our mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." I cannot send something out that does not promote Paul’s Gospel. Here it is, Paul’s Gospel of salvation, I Corinthians 15 verse 1-4. "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you ‘the’ gospel (not a gospel, but the gospel) which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2. Paul tells us this Gospel will save you unless this Gospel has been adulterated, and many do that while teaching salvation. Don’t mix the Gospel of the Kingdom message under Law with the Gospel of Grace as preached by Paul. Now, verse 3 and 4 are the very heart of the Gospel of salvation. 
You’re misleading people. All right, back to Romans chapter 10 and look at verse 9, again. 
Romans 10:9-10 
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10. For with the heart (not the head, the heart) man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." You know that God has saved you. Romans 10:11 
What’s His answer, "Sorry, it was never heart Faith; I never knew you." 
All right then, verse 12: 
Romans 10:12a 
Isaiah was dealing with Israel. Paul deals with the whole human race.) Israel isn’t under the law today. Romans 10:12b 
In faith. All right, verse 13, this is a verse I’m always reminded of, that I’ve used several times after leading someone to the Lord. It’s what the Word of God says. Romans 10:14 
Romans 10:15 
Romans 10:16 
For Isaiah said, Lord, who hath believed our report?" God never gets the big masses of people. All right, now here’s the verse I wanted to come to, verse 17: 
Romans 10:17 
The only place salvation can be ascertained is by what God has said. All right, now he comes back again to Isaiah: 
Romans 10:18-19a 
(Hasn’t Israel heard about the God of David?) Romans 10:19b 
Skip across the page to chapter 11 verse 11. 
Romans 11:11 
God forbid: (Banish the thought. God hasn’t given up on the Jewish people.) The only thing is, now Paul comes up with a little addendum to the Gospel of Salvation. 
Now, Paul’s Gospel of Salvation goes primarily to the Gentile world but also to the nation of Israel who had rejected the Gospel of the Kingdom, and most will also reject Paul’s Gospel. 
All right, back into verse 11 of chapter 11. It’s a key verse. Romans 11:11 
(Is God all through with Israel? God forbid: but rather though their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy." Now, you see, that was God’s eternal purpose. "God’s all through with the Jew. Romans 10:17 
"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." You consider the Gospel and believe it because it is the Word of God. All right, let’s just drop on down to verse 20: 
All right, what’s he saying? As a prophet of Israel, do you think the nation of Israel loved Isaiah? Isaiah chapter 55 verse 7. Now, just like Paul said in Romans 5, "that where sin abounded Grace does much more abound." 
Mankind cannot comprehend the Grace of God. All right, let’s take another verse and then time’s going to be up, verse 8. My, I love this verse. 
Well, why does God do this?

The Word of God. Jews. Isaiah 44:26b 
"…that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited;…" Isaiah 44:26c-27 
27. (I am the God. That saith to the deep, be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers: " If God wants the Euphrates to be dry, He’ll dry it up. 
" (I am the God) That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure;…" From history, who was Cyrus? I used this analogy right here. King Josiah was named 300 years before he was born. There is no other Book besides this Book! It is the only Word of God. Everything else is by Satan’s design, not God’s. By the time the Temple is rebuilt we’re down to 400 BC. Verse 28: 
"(I am the God) That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd,…" No other Gentile is referred to as one of God’s shepherds. Cyrus is going to set up the decree and make everything ready for the return of Israel to Jerusalem. All right, let’s go back and pick this man Cyrus up in Ezra chapter 1. Nebuchadnezzar overruns Jerusalem and destroys the city and the Temple. Israel is taken out to Babylon for 70 years. Now, they have started rebuilding the Temple in about 546 BC. A hundred years later, about 446 BC or thereabouts, comes Nehemiah and Nehemiah’s instruction is under yet another Emperor called Artaxerxes the King, and we may look at that if we have time, who follows Cyrus, but he’s still an Emperor of the Medes and Persians. The Temple is operating. All right, now when King Herod decided to enlarge the Temple mount, even today if you’re going to enlarge a hillside what are you going to do to hold the dirt in place? Well, you’re going to build a retaining wall. Herod built that huge retaining wall so that he could fill it with dirt and so forth and have more room for the Temple Complex. It’s simply Herod’s retaining wall to hold the fill dirt. Now then, with the Temple Mount enlarged, Herod could build a more beautiful, larger Temple Complex. That was the Temple that was in place when Jesus began His earthly ministry. Ezra 1:1-2a 
"Now in the first year of Cyrus the King of Persia, (same guy.) that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD, (Now, always remember that LORD is Jehovah, it’s God the Son.) stirred up the spirit of Cyrus the King of Persia, (Now, remember, who was Persia in biblical times? From a pagan king! See? Ezra 1:2b-3a 
"…The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; (the then-known world. 7. Also Cyrus (this Gentile king) the king brought forth the vessels of the house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem, and had put them in the house of his gods." Nehemiah 2:1a 
Now, we’ve got a different king. Nehemiah 2:1b-3 
God wouldn’t have let them! 
There was nobody building it up. Amongst the trash they built the Temple up there on the mount, but the city itself is still in rubble. Now, reading on in verse 4. 
Nehemiah 2:4 
"Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven." Right before the king he prayed. God reads your prayers. 
Nehemiah 2:5a 
"And I said to the king, If it please the king,…" The king gives him letters to give him safe travel and to give him permission to use whatever he needed from the king’s forest to start rebuilding the city. Nehemiah 2:10 
Nehemiah 2:11 
Now, Nehemiah says: 
Nehemiah 2:17a 
Nehemiah 2:17b 
There were no walls to protect even the builders of the Temple. So, Nehemiah says) come let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach." The wall. We have to get the wall built." Now, verse 18. 
Nehemiah 2:18 
Everything is accomplished because of the Sovereignty of Israel’s God.) Nehemiah 2:19 
Will you rebel against the king?" Nehemiah 2:20 
"Then I answered and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but you have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem." 
That’s what the Word of God says.

"…that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited;…" Isaiah 44:26c-27
27. (I am the God. That saith to the deep, be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers: " If God wants the Euphrates to be dry, He’ll dry it up.
" (I am the God) That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure;…" From history, who was Cyrus? I used this analogy right here. King Josiah was named 300 years before he was born. There is no other Book besides this Book! It is the only Word of God. Everything else is by Satan’s design, not God’s. By the time the Temple is rebuilt we’re down to 400 BC. Verse 28:
"(I am the God) That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd,…" No other Gentile is referred to as one of God’s shepherds. Cyrus is going to set up the decree and make everything ready for the return of Israel to Jerusalem. All right, let’s go bac

Isaiah 44:1 
"Yet now hear, O Jacob (This is the Lord speaking, and again He refers to them as:) my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:" Now, you’ve got to remember God uses those two terms interchangeably and sometimes together. Isaiah 44:2 
By His Grace He chose them and set them aside to be the chosen or the covenant people. All right, reading on, verse 5: 
Isaiah 44:5-6a 
"One shall say, I am the LORD’s and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob, and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the LORD, and surname himself by the name of Israel. King of Israel,…" Now, I want you to see these things, this constant reference to the Lord, Jehovah, God the Son as Israel’s King. Isaiah 44:6b: 
Isaiah 44:6c-7 
"…and beside me there is no God. Isaiah 44:8 
Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God, I know not any." God has every right to be anything He wants to be. I’ve been stressing that in all the years I’ve been on television, the God of this Bible is Sovereign. All right, verse 9, now we come back to the idolatry again.

Now verse 10. 
Isaiah 44:10-11 
"Who hath formed a god, (small ‘g’, so it’s an idol) or molten a graven image that is profitable for (How much?) nothing? (Those idols can’t accomplish anything.) Come on, you older people know that. White hot. It’s right out of the Book! Isaiah 44:12a 
Idols. Isaiah 44:12b

As an (what?) idol. Unbelievable! This is Israel! This is Israel, not Babylon, not Egypt. God’s chosen people!

"And the residue thereof he maketh a god:… 18. All right, I’m going to take you up to show you how Paul puts it. The human race has not changed one iota. 
I Corinthians 2:9 
"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." The believers. We’re talking about the believer. 
I Corinthians 2:10-11 
"But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit: (that in-dwelling Holy Spirit that is part and parcel of the believer’s life) yea, the deep things of God. 11. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? We’re just like anybody else) even so the things of God knoweth no man, but by the Spirit of God." I Corinthians 2:10:12 
"Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God." The believer. I Corinthians 2:13a 
I Corinthians 2:13b 
"…not in the words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches (How does the Holy Spirit teach?) comparing spiritual things with spiritual." I think it’s God’s way of enlightening us. I Corinthians 2:14 
God doesn’t expect him to understand. Why? Isaiah 44:18 
"They have not known nor understood: (Now, of course, we’re talking about Israel.) "God gave them up." Isaiah 44:19 
Don’t lose that tree.) yea, I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; (I’ve used it to heat the ovens.) Fall down and worship it. 
Isaiah 44:20-22a 
(God comes back and speaks again to the Nation.) 21. Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my servant: (God hasn’t given up on them. Anybody else would have, but the God of Grace doesn’t. I have formed thee; thou are my servant: Oh Israel, thou shall not be forgotten of me. I’ve got time, and I think it’s chapter 33. Let’s drop down to verse 19, the last half of the verse. In spite of all that, look what God reminds Moses in the last half of verse 19. 
God hasn’t changed. I think I want chapter 5, I want you to see God hasn’t changed. Really, the human race hasn’t changed. The same God. Oh, we’re under a whole different economy, but look what God says now through the Apostle Paul in Romans chapter 5, let’s start at verse 19. This is before Israel. Romans 5:19 
Romans 5:20 
(That sin might be seen for what it is, and so the Law shows man’s sin. Because the Sovereign God says, "I will show mercy on whom I will show mercy. What a message - What a God!

All right, Isaiah chapter 40 verse 1 and if you’ve ever listened to Handel’s Messiah this will just jump off the page won’t it? 
Isaiah 40:1 
"Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God." Well, who are God’s people? Israel. See, this is what we have to constantly remind folks of - that God is dealing only with the nation of Israel so far as the promises are concerned. He deals with the Gentile world only in judgment because of their treatment of His people. 
Isaiah 40:1-2a 
"Comfort ye, comfort ye my people (Israel) saith your God. 2. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished,…" Peace. Never. All right, so pray for the peace of Jerusalem, the soon return of our Lord and Savior. 
Isaiah 40:2b 
sin." It’s man’s sin that brings on all of his problems and Israel in particular. All right, so "Jerusalem has actually received double her problems because of Israel’s sin." 
Isaiah 40:3 
John the Baptist. Never does Jesus tell anybody to stop keeping the Law. He never tells the Jew to stop sacrificial worship. The Kingdom was available. Well, leave that with God’s Sovereignty. Isaiah 40:4 
Now, that’s all symbolic language of what the King and this glorious Kingdom would accomplish for the nation of Israel. 
Isaiah 40:5a 
Romans 3:19 
Israel, the Jew! But it doesn’t stop there) that every mouth may be stopped, (not just in Israel) and all the world may become guilty before God." Yes, the Law was given to Israel. Only Israel was put under the system of the Law, but the moral Law condemned the whole human race. Nobody is exempt from Israel’s moral Law. It’s Israel’s Law, but nevertheless it is universal in its condemnation. 
Romans 3:20 
"Therefore by the deeds of the law (or the keeping of the Ten Commandments, whether it’s Israel or it’s the rest of the world) shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law (the Ten Commandments, God’s moral law for the whole human race) is the knowledge of sin." That people stop. I’ve never stopped." What’s the stop sign? Law! When the Law says stop, then you’d better stop. All right, now then, back to Isaiah chapter 40. Isaiah 40:6 
Isaiah 40:7 
"The grass withereth, the flower fadeth; because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it; surely the people is grass." Isaiah 40:8-9 
Behold your God!" Why? Isaiah 40:10-11a 
Now, 41 is a good chapter to read in your spare time. It, again, shows the omnipotence, the greatness, and the glory of Israel’s God. But now in chapter 42 verse 1: 
Isaiah 42:1a 
"Behold my servant,…" Now, remember, Mark’s Gospel is a total revelation of the servant-hood of Christ. Matthew depicts Him as the King. Luke depicts Him as the Son of Man. John depicts Him as the Son of God. Isaiah 42:1 
God hasn’t cast the Gentiles out of His thinking, but it had to be according to His design. Israel is constantly left with choices. All right, so here we see that God is going to bring forth judgment or rule to the Gentiles. Isaiah 42:6 
"I the LORD (Jehovah) have called you in righteousness, (Now, we’re dealing with the nation, Israel.) and will hold thy hand, will keep thee and give thee for a covenant of the people, (a relationship between Israel and the God of Abraham and the covenant promises) for (what purpose?) a light of the Gentiles." Israel! Israel, because of all these covenant promises. Now, let’s jump up to Matthew. Matthew chapter 9 verse 35. It’s in Christ’s earthly ministry now. Matthew 9:35a 
"And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, (that is of Israel) teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom,…" The Gospel of the Kingdom, and He associated with that since He was God and He had the power of God. 
Now, verse 5, and it’s a verse that a lot of people don’t like. Matthew 10:5-6 
Next verse:) 6. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." Why? Israel has to be brought the Kingdom first and then the King could come and then Israel could evangelize. Matthew 10:7 
Israel is put on trial – can they believe who He is? All right verse 52: 
Acts 7:52 
If you don’t like what we preach, if you don’t want to agree with us we’ll kill you. All right, so Stephen, of course, is put to death, and he was the last real trumpet sound of God dealing with the nation of Israel. All right, but now look; what does God have to do? Israel, as a nation, has dropped the ball. All right, now look what God does. Jump up with me to Acts chapter 9 verse 15, and when you deal with people who don’t understand this let them read this verse. the Gentiles,…" Simon (Peter) hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them (the Gentiles) a people for his name.

ISAIAH 2:3 – 42:6 
A lot of these intervening chapters have just been God’s prophetic judgment on the nations around Israel; on Babylon, Syria, and so on and so forth. Now, I want to jump up to Isaiah 24 verse 1 where the prophet now leaps definitely to the time of the Tribulation. This is not the Babylonian invasion of 606 BC and not 70 AD, but this is the final wrath of God, the Tribulation that will bring the planet to the end of time as we know it and usher in the Second Coming and that glorious Kingdom. 
"Behold, the LORD (Now, remember the word LORD, in the Old Testament, is God the Son, Jehovah.) maketh the earth empty, (Now, we’re talking about the whole earth. Isaiah 24:3 
Now, here I think the word "land" is referring to the nation of Israel. Now, in verse 4 we come to the whole planet. 
"The earth (all of it) mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish." 
"The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof;…" Isaiah 24:5b 
Aids. Isaiah 24:5c 
Isaiah 24:6a 
Never forget that. "Righteousness exalteth a nation; sin is a reproach for any people." Isaiah 24:6b 
"…therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned,…" I think nuclear holocaust. I don’t think God is going to let it happen. Isaiah 24:6c 
Well, there’ll be some survivors. Remember, that the 144,000 Jewish men have been circling the globe, now, for nearly seven years preaching salvation, not based on our Gospel of Grace, but based on the Gospel of the Kingdom as Jesus and the Twelve preached it. Matthew 24:3-4a 
4. And Jesus answered and said unto them…" The six seal judgments in Revelation chapter 6 come right down the pike like Jesus unfolds it here in Matthew 24. Matthew 24:14 
"And this (that is the one that he and the Twelve have been preaching now) gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world (not just Israel) for a witness unto (what?) all nations (and when it’s reached all the nations, then what?) and then shall the end come." Listen, Jesus never expected the Church to reach all the nations of the world. He was talking about the 144,000 during the Tribulation. The King is coming! The King is in our midst, He’s offering the Kingdom. We preach, or proclaim, that "Christ died for the sins of the world. All right, Revelation 7 verse 9, after 12,000 out of each tribe have been sealed, and commissioned: 
Revelation 7:9a 
Revelation 7:9b 
Revelation 7:13-14a 
"Few men were left;" just a few survivors. Some that have never responded to the Gospel of the Kingdom, but some that will have. The earth is going to be renovated, remodeled, regenerated, reconstituted, whatever you want to call it, and it’s going to be made ready now for this glorious heaven-on-earth Kingdom. But, you’ve got to have people. You’ve got to have people, and you can’t have just the nation of Israel. You’ve got to have all the nations. Let’s pick up why I’m making the point that we have to have flesh and blood people in Revelation chapter 20 and verse 7. All right, you got it? 
Revelation 20:7-8a 
All right, now these nations of people who have come on the scene during the thousand year reign of Christ, born of human parents, they will follow Satan, as we see in verse 9: 
Revelation 20:9 
All right, so you’ve got to realize that the thousand year Kingdom rule is going to bring about multitudes of people, probably at least as many as we’ve got on the planet right now tonight. 
Miracle of miracles they’ve survived it. But, there are also some lost people who have survived. All right, here we are, Matthew 25 verse 31, and remember this is the Lord Himself rehearsing it. Matthew 25:31-32a 
All the nations of the world will simply be represented by survivors. Okay? Matthew 25:32b 
"…as a shepherd divides his sheep from his goats:" Now, that’s just (what’s the word?) a simile? Well, he separates them. All right, verse 34: 
Matthew 25:34 
say unto them on his right hand, (the sheep, the believers) Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:" That’s why I’m always saying from Genesis all the way up through Scripture what’s it talking about? The Kingdom. The Kingdom. The Kingdom. This glorious rule of Christ on the earth! 
All right, so the believing survivors of the Gentile world are told to enter into the Kingdom prepared from the foundation of the world. All right, now, I’m speculating. If we’re going to have nations of people at the end of the thousand years from all quarters of the earth, what does that tell you about these people? As well as all the other nations around the world, there will be survivors from every one. All right, so consequently, Jesus is speaking on behalf of those 144,000 Jews and He says: 
39. Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?"

All right, enough of that, let’s go right back. Okay, Revelation, chapter 20 starting at verse 1. 
All right, now, let’s just see how often Scripture repeats this number – 1000 years. All right, come on down to verse 3. 
Now, a lot of people wonder, and a lot of people write, after we got that rascal tied up and he’s off the scene, he’s not hurting anybody, why does God bring him back? 
Every dispensation God gave mankind; let’s just start with Adam and Eve in the Garden, the simplest of the dispensations. A dispensation is a time during which God lays a responsibility upon the human race, and then they fail it. All right, let’s start with Adam and Eve. "Hath God really said?" All right, Eve fell for it because it sounded so good. Now, that’s a lot of people. Satan, so God lets him come back to test these new generations of people. All right, so he must be loosed a little season to give these new generations of human beings a choice between Satan’s lie or God’s goodness. 
Revelation 20:4-6a 
6. Blessed and holy is he who hath part in the first resurrection:…" Those are all believers. Then, Daniel chapter 12 brings in the resurrection of the Old Testament believers, which will be 75 days after the Kingdom starts. So now, you’ve got all the believers, Old Testament, New Testament, Tribulation; they’ve all been resurrected into heavenly bodies fit for eternity. 
John’s Gospel chapter 5, and drop down to verse 28. This is during Christ’s earthly ministry. Jesus is speaking. John 5:28-29 
All right, now let’s come back to Revelation chapter 20, again, because you’ve got unbelievers who have died ever since the beginning. I usually go back to Cain, who I think, was the first lost person through everybody that’s rejected God’s salvation all the way up through human history until we get to this Great White Throne Judgment after the Kingdom Age of 1000 years has run its course. Revelation 20:5-6 
(Consequently, verse 6 can say.) 6. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection. Revelation 20:7a 
Revelation 20:7b-8 
Well, he’s going to convince them that if they follow him they can be like God. Satan convinces them they’re going to defeat Christ Jesus. Revelation 20:9-10 
Now, in verse 11, here comes the Great White Throne, and here come the lost of all the ages who will be resurrected out of their waiting place in Hell where they go now. God will resurrect them out. He will give them a body fit for the Lake of Fire, and He brings them up before the Great White Throne where Christ is now sitting as the judge, not the Savior. 
Revelation 20:11-12 
12. And I saw the dead, small and great, (of the lost) stand before God; and the books, (the record books) were opened, and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead (the lost) were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." Every detail of a lost person’s life will be brought up before him, and God is keeping a record. 
Revelation 20:13a 
Now, verse 14. 
Revelation 20:14a 
"And death and hell (from which these people have been resurrected) were cast into the lake of fire...." It’s coming for lost humanity and then it says in verse 15, well 14 and 15. 
Revelation 20:14 
"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15 
"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast in the lake of fire." All right, now then, since I have established the thousand-year reign of Christ’s earthly kingdom, let’s come back to the book of Hosea. Come back with me to Hosea, right after the book of Daniel. Jump in with me at chapter 5. Hosea 5:15a 
The Lord Jesus Christ and when He says, I will go -- where’s He speaking from? Heaven. To the earth. 
Israel) acknowledge their offence, (What was their offence? The Tribulation. The whole purpose of it is God’s wrath upon Christ-rejecting Israel and the world in general. 
"…in their affliction they (the nation of Israel) will seek me early." 
"Come let us return unto the LORD:…" Israel. Israel is now speaking, come let us return to the Lord. My, they’ve got something to return from. 
Hosea 6:1b 
The bus bombings in Israel. It is beyond human comprehension. Yes, the nation of Israel is coming back. Hosea 6:2b 
What’s that referring to? The Kingdom! All right, we’ve only got a few minutes left. First, comes Israel’s demise. Look at verse 2. Where God says: 
Joel 3:2 
Sound familiar? They’ve parted the land. It’s Israel’s. They’ve divided God’s land. 
Joel 3:3 
Verse 17. 
Now, just drop over, I hope we’ve got time, we’ve got a couple of minutes. The next book is Amos. God’s Word is sure. Amos 9:13-15 
Then, in verse 4, we have Christ returning to the Mount of Olives as He left in Acts chapter 1. Zechariah 14:8

The remedy was in verse 16: 
That God is willing to what? Compromise. It was an absolute – "Come now" – it’s a settled fact that if you want to deal with your sin, God is more than ready in mercy and grace, even back here under the Law, to forgive their sin, to cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Isaiah 1:18b 
Now remember, God hasn’t changed. Romans 5:20a 
The Ten Commandments just simply shows the human race what’s right and what’s wrong. Romans 5:20b 
"…But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:" Now, that’s not license. Then he comes on down to verse 1 of chapter 6. If God’s grace is always greater than sin, does that mean that we continue in sin or do we practice how far down into sin we can go and still expect God to cleanse us and forgive us? Romans 6:1-2 
Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2. God forbid. Let’s go back to Exodus and it’s the account of Israel at Mount Sinai and the golden calf. It should be in Exodus about 32, if I remember right. Exodus 32:1 
Now, what could God have done? Drop on down in this same chapter 33, oh, I guess we can start at verse 18, where Moses now is confronting the God of Glory, and Moses says to God: 
Exodus 33:18 
"And he said, I beseech thee, show me thy glory. All right, now let’s just jump up to II Samuel, chapter 7, and, oh, the patience and the mercy and the forgiveness of God, first and foremost to His people Israel, but it’s no different for us in this Age of Grace. He’s the same God, with the same attributes. 
Now, look what He says concerning the nation of Israel as He’s speaking with David, and of course Solomon will be following in David’s footsteps. A direct descendent of David through Solomon. II Samuel 7:12 
"And when thy days be fulfilled, and shalt sleep with thy fathers, (in other words, he will die physically) I will set up thy seed (or coming generations) after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels (your innermost being) and I will establish his kingdom." In other words, it’s going to come down through the genetics of King David and God says, "I will establish his kingdom." All right, now then verse 13: 
If somewhere down the line they make bad choices: 
II Samuel 7:15-16 
(Then verse 16, here’s the promise that the kingdom will never fail to make its appearance.) 16. And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established forever before thee: thy throne shall be established forever" That’s God’s promise, that the Kingdom will be established forever. All right, back to Isaiah chapter 1, if you will, and verse 19; if Israel would just recognize that God is willing to forgive and cleanse their iniquity. Isaiah 1:19-20 
"If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: (God would bless them) 20. But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it." If we do not change our direction, if our nation does not stop going in that way of rebellion, God’s judgment is going to fall. America’s doomed. If America someday goes down the tube, it won’t be God’s fault. All right, verse 20 again:

Sound familiar? Verse 22.

Adulterating again. 
Galatians 1:6 
You took pure wine, diluted half and half with water and still call it a pure product. I’ll just give you one example, you all know Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ for it (the Gospel) is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth." Galatians 1:8 
God is serious!! 
Galatians 1:9 
It may be younger men; it may be older men. Doesn’t matter. If anyone) preach any other gospel than that ye have received, let him be accursed." My, what a judgment is going to fall on these people who are adulterating this glorious Gospel of Grace. Let’s come back to Isaiah once again, verse 23. 
Isaiah 1:23a 
"Thy princes (in other words, the upper echelon of their society, the men that should have known better. What’s the other word for it? Bribes. Isaiah 1:23b 
Now remember, I’m making the analogy on all of this; as Israel was, America is. Isaiah 1:24a 
"Therefore saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah,…" It’s an exclamatory word. God says: 
Isaiah 24b 
Who are God’s true enemies here? Israel! Israel, who should know better, Israel whom God is pleading with to turn from their wicked ways and come back and be obedient so that God can bless them. Jeremiah 44:15-17 
"Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying, 16. As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto thee (we’re not going to listen.)

ISAIAH 1:1-2:2
The remedy was in verse 16:
That God is willing to what? Compromise. It was an absolute – "Come now" – it’s a settled fact that if you want to deal with your sin, God is more than ready in mercy and grace, even back here under the Law, to forgive their sin, to cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Isaiah 1:18b
Now remember, God hasn’t changed. Romans 5:20a
The Ten Commandments just simply shows the human race what’s right and what’s wrong. Romans 5:20b
"…But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:" Now, that’s not license. Then he comes on down to verse 1 of chapter 6. If God’s grace is always greater than sin, does that mean that we continue in sin or do we practice how far down into sin we can go and still expect God to cleanse us and forgive us? Romans 6:1-2
