King David was a Man's man with a heart for God.  One time though, his man card caused him to take another man's wife.  God has promised us that forgiveness is available but He never said that there would not be consequences. King David. The greatest king of Israel.  He slayed Goliath with a pebble.  He conquered Israel's enemies.  He offered to build God a house.  He did great, great things but he became forgetful.  He forgot all about everything that God had given him when he saw one thing.  What did he see?  What caused him to lust after something that was not his and caused him to fall? Today, Pastor Chris teaches us about fear.  When Goliath stood for 40 days challenging the armies of God to fight, they ran.  But what were they afraid of?  We all have fear of  many different things in life that can keep us from being the soldiers of God that we are meant to be.  Fear of words, fear of our personal Philistine and fear of defiance are all reasons that we run.  We run away from a fear that is nothing and those fears take us away from God. We get so caught up in her making one simple mistake that we forget that Jesus Christ, the Son of the Almighty God, dropped what could be the biggest theological statement in the New Testament. I am the Resurrection and the Life.
