‌Noah had a pattern of behavior that kept him aligned with God’s will and God’s ways. And he found favor and walked faithfully with God.

Genesis 6:8 (NIV) But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. 
 
 
Genesis 6:9-12 ~ 9 This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God. 10 Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth. 11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways.

Devotion is intimacy overflowing in action. 
 
Genesis 6:22 (NIV) Noah did everything just as God commanded him. 
 
Instant Obedience — Don’t use prayer (or anything else) as an excuse to put off what you know God has been calling you to do! 
‌Continual Obedience — Honor God in the next thing over a long period of time and it will create God sized results. 
‌Complete Obedience — Don’t quit because it’s hard, isn’t fun anymore, or something else looks more inviting. Have persevering faith!

‌With a Half-Hearted Devotion to God, you will turn away from Him and toward sin and Satan. Without repentance, rebellion always increases, resulting in more sin and greater separation from God.

Half-Hearted Devotion to Generational Decline ~ Genesis 4:17-24 Sunday 10/30/22

Genesis 4:1-4a NIV - 1Adam made love to his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain She said, “With the help of the LORD I have brought forth a man.” 2 Later she gave birth to his brother Abel. Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil.  
 
Genesis 4:3-4a NIV - 3 In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD. 4 And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock.  
 
Hebrews 4:12-13 NLT - 12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.

Temptation: 
The Character & Integrity of God is questioned… Satan tries to create and establish doubt and distrust of God and His Word. 
Almost always appeals to the Lust of the Flesh, the Lust of the Eyes and the Pride of Life! 
 
1 John 2:15-17 NIV - 15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.  16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. 
 
Genesis 3:7 NIV - 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

Romans 15:17-21 NIV - 17 Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God. 18 I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done—  19 by the power of signs and wonders, through the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ. 20 It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation. 21 Rather, as it is written: “Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.” (Isaiah 52:15) 
 
 
 
We’re called and commanded to produce FRUIT for the Master!

Swindoll wrote: 
The Lord originally planned for His blessing to Abraham to become the means of His extending grace to the whole world. The Israelites were to settle in the Promised Land and become a living example of God’s government, one so steeped in grace that sojourners would never want to leave. And the kings of Israel were to remain perfectly obedient to God, leading all of their followers in worship and eventually bringing Gentiles under His worldwide theocracy. 
Where the descendants of Abraham failed, the Israelites disappointed, and the kings disobeyed, Jesus Christ succeeded. 
The righteousness of God was ultimately revealed in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ. When He returns, the world will be recreated... reflect that righteousness. So, if we want to know what the new kingdom will look like, we need only look to its King. And during His earthly ministry, the King was a servant.

When Forgiveness falters, Evil endures. 
When Forgiveness is fulfilled, Evil is eradicated.

Remember Romans 1:18-25 NLT - 18 But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. 19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
