In this first part of our discussion, James Snapp Jr. and I are going to walk through the evidence for the long ending of Mark. It seems the marginal notes in various Bible translations often mislead their readers into thinking there's less evidence for it's support than there actually is. In this video we learn a little about who James is and about the real number of manuscripts that actually support the inclusion of the long ending of Mark. In addition, we'll see how less than helpful notes in our Bibles often present only one side of the issue, and that more details should be included to gain a more full picture.

In today's sermon, we're continuing our series in Romans 6. We'll discuss the implications of the changed life of the Christian in regards to the sin nature we received from Adam. Our death with Christ as we bury the 'old man', our resurrection with Him to 'newness of life', and finally, a call to war against the sinful desires of our flesh. 
 
Preached at Faith Pentecostal Assembly on Feb 21, 2021.

The Severed Sin Nature and Killing Sin | Sermon | Romans 6:1-14

I have run into this "King James Version only" idea a little more frequently lately, so I thought I would create this video to explain why I don't believe this to be true. It seems counter intuitive that the original language would be less accurate then the english translation from it. And so, onward to the discussion of the mistakenly translated word of πασχα to easter, which should have been translated as passover instead! I use 3 arguments to show this to be the case 
 
1) Its translated Passover 28 of 29 times in the NT. 
2) The "Built-in" dictionary that KJVo believers advocate shows it should be passover 
3) Contextual consideration show without a doubt that Passover, and not easter, is in the mind of Herod.
