In the evening we are going to seek to answer the question "Why Do We Belong to a Federation?" from Psalm 122 and Lord's day 48 of the Catechism. How does it help us to be a member congregation of the United Reformed Churches in North America? Could we leave our Federation and be just fine as a congregation on our own? We need to see what the Bible and Heidelberg Catechism tell us about this. Please plan on returning for this important sermon during the second worship service.

In the morning we will continue in Mark and will come to Mark 6.33, 34. Here we see the unfolding of the work of the Great Shepherd for His flock, ready to care for them even when it is inconvenient. This is the work of Jesus Christ still today in His church. There is rich food to be found here

3. Jesus landed…Jesus saw…Jesus had compassion – why is He singled out?
