The preaching and teaching ministry of Providence Reformed Baptist Church, Marble Falls, TX. Knowing that the Gospel is the power of God to salvation for sinners (Rom. 1:16-17; Psa. 19:7-11) and that the Word of God is the primary means which the Holy Spirit uses to sanctify saints (John 17:17), our purpose is to glorify God through the spreading of His Word to as many people as possible. We yearn to see the Holy Spirit use the Word of God to save sinners, sanctify saints, refine our worship, revive our churches, and equip us for the work of service for the edification of the Body of Christ (Eph. 4:11).

God's Plan and Purposes for Marriage - Message 13 - The Proverbs 13 Woman - Proverbs 31:10-31. Verses 1-2 introduce this chapter as advice from a mother to her son, from a Queen to her Prince who would be King. The name Lemuel means “belongs to God” and it likely a term of endearment for Solomon by his mother, Bathsheba. She begins by asking what she should say in order to advise him in how to walk and rule righteously and she answers herself by giving him 4 warnings followed by a catechism useful for defining a virtuous woman. Each verse begins with a letter of the Hebrew alphabet, in order, and teaches the qualities to be sought and developed by women who would be excellent in all that they are and do.

God's Plan and Purposes for Marriage - Message 12 - The Proverbs 31 Man - Proverbs 31:1-9. A young prince is trained by his mother as she gives him a warning about a Trinity of Terror that could destroy him when he is a man - Women, War, and Wine. Men must be prepared BEFORE they are grown to fight lust and immorality, defend against violence and intemperance, and be on guard against being under the control of any substance that could prevent them from being sober-minded. She concludes with an encouragement towards wisdom and justice. She tells us what it takes to be a godly man.

In the Beginning - Lesson 15 - The Families of Cain and Seth - Genesis 4:16-26. Following the murder of Abel, we trace the family of Cain through the building of a city and the introduction of polygamy by Lamech. We also contract the line of Seth and from the genealogies demonstrate the young age of the earth.

God's Plan and Purposes for Marriage - Message 11 - Qualities for Older and Younger Men - Titus 2:1-2, 6-8. Paul is giving Titus instructions so that in his pastoral ministry on the Island of Crete he might be able to teach and instruct the church in righteousness. In chapter 2 verse 1, he tells Titus to “speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine.” Proof of right teaching is right living, so in the verses that follow, Paul focuses on the qualities or characteristics that would be evident in the life of faithful disciples. He includes qualities for older men and women and younger men and women in the church.

This union is dissolved naturally only by death. From the text we begin to answer the questions, "Why were we created?" and "Why were we created male and female?"
